"W-what? " Haruka said quietly, her voice trembling and her hands shaking.
Her hand rushed to her mouth and her eyes filled up with tears.
"Y-yes, I understand, th-thank you," Haruka said, hanging up the phone and bringing it to her side as she slumped down to the floor.
She couldn't even cry, she felt nothing, nothing but pure and undeniable emptiness, the one she cared for most had left her alone in this sad and pathetic world.
She tried to stand from her seated position, but her legs felt weak and she felt as if she was gonna fall.
She stumbled out of her pent house. Down to her car and she drove somberly to where the car had been spun out of control.
She had been informed of the accident, but she just couldn't believe it had truly happened.
But there she saw her lovers car completely destroyed, crushed and parts laying in the road she parked her car on the side of the road and she got out, walked over to the mess that she couldn't even call a car.
'Damn it, why haven't they cleared the car out yet? ' she thought to herself, trying to take her mind off her beloved smile.
She stood in front of it, before she climbed in the passengers seat through the broken window. She sat in the passenger seat for minutes on end, looking around the car, her eyes darting everywhere, every so often catching a glimpse of Y/ns blood on the seat.
Every time that would happen she would shudder, thinking how much pain her girlfriend felt, and how scared she must have been waiting for paramedics to arrive.
Y/n didn't die on impact, she passed away as they got her out of the car onto the stretcher. And that made Harukas heart sink further into her chest.
"Y/n... I-I... "
Haruka paused as she composed her feelings, she swallowed the lump in her thoat, the tears she held back for hours had finally slipped from her red glossy eyes.
"I'm so sorry... " she said, allowing herself to succumb to the pain she felt in her stomach.
She let out a loud sob, screaming at herself, how could she let this happen. It should've been her. All of this was her fault. And she would never forgive herself.
°Earlier that night°
"No! It's the same bullshit every time Haruka! I'm so fucking tired of it."
Haruka sighed, the anger and sorrow she felt was real, and as much as she wanted to pour her heart out to her lover about the truth... She couldn't, to protect Y/n.
"Why?! Why don't you ever talk to me!?"
Y/n said. The tears streaming down her rosy cheeks."I can't, really I wish I could."
"Why can't you?! I try so fucking hard to break the cement walls around you and you just keep building more! Why?! Do you not want me to see who you truly are?! Do you not trust me?!" Y/n said, her voice breaking and cracking, hiccups in between her sharp and hurtful words.
"Of course I trust you! I just.. " Haruka paused to think, her mind clouded.
"You just what huh?" Y/n said sternly.
Haruka couldn't think? The words she wished to say wouldn't come out of her dry mouth.
"Just like I f-fucking thought. You know what Haruka,...I'm tired, I try so fucking hard but I just can't do this anymore, *gasp* with the disappearing at night and the mysterious phone calls and the sneaking away from me, from our FEW DATES we EVER get! I-i I'm done." Y/n said before grabbing her keys wallet and bag, wipping the dried tears off her face. No more tears came out of her eyes, just a cold stare that could kill someone if they looked to long.
Haruka stared in shock, her heart pounding loudly against her chest.
"W-wait! We can talk this out! I'm here, I'll talk to you please.
Normally Haruka would never be seen so vulnerable, she hated showing that she was even the slightest bit weak, even to her girlfriend who she cherished.
And that's another thing Y/n hated, Haruka never showed her vulnerability.
" No we can't, all you give a shit about is your self and whatever the fuck it is your doing when I'm not looking, and when we are together you just sit in silence and think, and when I ask you always say nothing, you have no fucking clue what I was saying or anything, it's like your not even here, you off on your own stupid fucking planet while I'm stuck here without you! "
Haruka had never been broken up with under such circumstances, this feeling was foreign to her, the feeling of sharp cold knife digging into the deepest parts of her stomach and heart.
"Goodbye, it's clear you didn't even notice I was leaving right now anyways." The door slammed loudly, echoing through the house loud enough to reach Haruka in her shocked and confused state. That was the last thing Y/n ever said to Haruka, or to anybody really.
Y/n got in her car and fumbled with her keys as she noticed her girlfriend rushing out of the house as quickly as humanly possible.
She pulled out and drived away, paying no attention to her teary eyed girlfriend. Haruka continuesly tried calling, and all of them went directly to voice mail. Finally Y/n got fed up with the ringing and grabbed her phone to turn it off, as she reached for her phone in the passenger seat she lost control of her wheel, and was hit by another car, and tragically Y/n didn't make it.
Present time
Haruka sat in the seat. Her eyes were aching and puffy, her nose was red and her head was pounding, but she couldn't bring herself to leave and go back to the empty apartment.
