All of the lyrics were inspired by Lullaby For A Princess by ponyphonic. This is a song of my childhood and I remember when the full animation was still in progress, it was some pretty good days.

This one really inspired me to finally do something more with Beeduo in regards to my very own God AU.

For context: Ranboo had to break some of the God rules to help some mortals, it was Tubbo's idea, although I have not decided what rules were broken and what he was helping with, these rules were vital, which is why he was banished to the moon.

Another thing, some lyrics I didn't want to take out because of weird spacing issues with the song itself, so some things I feel like Tubbo had to come up with to really add flair into it.

It's important to mention that this likely isn't canon to my AU and is more likely an alternate timeline, but I do what I want >:)

DISCLAIMER: This is the oneshot that has slight romance between Tubbo and Ranboo, so I'm here to remind you all that this is all CHARACTERS, this is FICTION, and if it really becomes an issue, I will take this oneshot down. There will not be moments of direct romance between them, only small mentions of them having a relationship, to replace the use of 'sister' in the song. Again: This is purely fiction, only the characters. If it starts to really become an issue, this will be taken down. Please remain respectful in the comments, thank you, and enjoy.

It had only been one mortal year, but even so, Tubbo found himself guilty and mournful of his best friend, some may even say lover, Ranboo. While this happened many nights, tonight was far different... it was the one (mortal) year anniversary of Ranboo's banishment, the mere knowledge of this weighed heavy on Tubbo, making him wish that he had done more to stand up for and protect Ranboo... but he had only shrunk away in fear of the God of Gods, Xander.
He sighed deeply and sat up in his bed which had become messy from all the tossing and turning from attempts to sleep. He placed his hooves down onto the ground and stood, stretching and cracking his back in the process, much to his relief. He quietly stepped over to the glass doors, opened them, and stepped out onto the balcony. This was their home, deep down under miles and miles of water, Atlantis. Hidden away from the mortals after it sunk, it was surrounded by a large bubble that kept out water, and thankfully, with lots of magic, the water was mostly see-through, giving them all a perfect view of the gorgeous sky.

This was a helpful design for Gods like Ranboo and Tubbo, after all, they were both left in charge of raising and declining the moon and sun respectively. While they may have been opposites in regards to magic, they still had the strongest bond that anyone in Atlantis had ever seen, and with Tommy, their bond was even stronger. Tommy was good company, especially on days and nights like this one where Tubbo found himself cold and lonesome in his bed, guiltily mourning the banishment of his loved one.

Tubbo looked over, seeing that he still had his piano left out from a little over a year ago, remembering the last song Tubbo had gotten to play for Ranboo before his banishment. He was glad he hadn't moved it yet, he had been working on something for quite a while anyway, he figured it was time he gave it a shot. He stepped over and sat down on the small bench and tested the keys first.
Satisfied with the test, he began to play, and sing. "Fate has been cruel and order unkind, how can they have sent you away? The blame was my own, the punishment yours, the harmony's silent today. But into the stillness, I'll bring you a song, and I will your company keep... to your tired eyes, and my lullabies, I'll carry you softly to sleep."

Hitting a deeper note, he suddenly felt as if he was in a bubble. Like it was only him, only him singing to the loved one he had lost. "Once did a God who shone like the sun, look out on the kingdom and sigh, he smiled and said 'surely, there is nobody so lovely, and so well beloved as I'. So great was his reign, and so brilliant his glory, that long was the shadow he had cast, which fell dark upon the young lover he loved, and it grew only darker as days and nights passed."

He took a deep breath, glancing up at the gorgeous, shining moon. "Lullay moon princess, goodnight lover of mine. Rest now in moonlight's embrace. Bare up my lullaby, winds of the earth, through cloud, and through sky, and through space. Carry the peace and the coolness of night, and carry my sorrow in kind." Tears welled in his eyes, but he stayed strong to not let his voice break. "Ranboo you're loved so much more than you know, forgive me for being so blind... Soon did that Goddess take notice that others did not give her sister her due. Yet neither had she, loved her as she deserved. She watched as her sister's unhappiness grew.

He began to recall when the story had been passed down by generations... this has happened before to a Moon Goddess... which inspired a good portion of his song. History really does repeat itself. "But such is the way of the limelight it sweetly takes hold of the mind of its host, and that foolish Goddess did nothing to stop the destruction of the one who had needed her most. Lullay moon princess, goodnight lover of mine. Rest now in moonlight's embrace. Bare up my lullaby, wings of the earth, through cloud, and through sky, and through space. Carry the peace and the coolness of night, and carry my sorrow in kind." The chorus always made him tear up, but he shook it off, taking a glance up at the moon again. "Ranboo you're loved so much more than you know, may troubles be far from your mind... and forgive me for being so blind."

As he hit the note for the beat drop, a flurry of magic flew out from him, catching him by surprise. Looking at his hands alone, he had taken a form he had never seen before... his skin was now colored in a deep, dark blue, freckles and moles upon his skin now colored in a bright, almost glowing white. The fur on his legs and ears was similar to his skin, but purple-ish pink instead. For once, he thought that he looked beautiful... he wished that Ranboo could see it.
"The years now before us, fearful and unknown. I never imagined I'd face them on my own. May these thousand winters, swiftly pass I pray. I love you, I miss you, all these miles away. May all your dreams be sweet tonight, safe upon your bed of moonlight. And know not of sadness, pain, or care, and when I dream I'll fly away and meet... you... there." Tears fell down his cheeks, with his new magic form, the tears were colored in a soft blue tone. "Sleep... sleep... sleep..."

He stopped, silent for a moment as the magic faded and he slowly returned to normal. His eyes welled up with more tears, and he fell forward onto the piano, breaking down into sobs, but he fell quiet, as it felt like he was suddenly embraced into a hug, but no one was there, and yet it felt so warm and comforting... faintly he heard, 'do not cry, my dear'. He sat up and looked around, but there was no one. He looked up, seeing how bright the moon had suddenly gotten. He teared up, "...Ranboo?"
