Indigo's Point of View
It's been at least four days since I've heard from Calum. But at the same time, I didn't want to be a bother to him.
At that party on the beach that "we" attended, he actually looked like he was having fun and I didn't want to force him out of his freedom.
As his best friend I didn't want to cockblock him, which was something we had agreed on since like high school.
We agreed that I wouldn't cockblock him, and he wouldn't chase my crushes and boyfriends away. However, he didn't do so well on his part. Since the seventh grade Calum had chased a total of 4 crushes and two boyfriends away. It definitely took some convincing for me to actually forgive him.
My thoughts were interrupted by the knocking of my bedroom door.
"Go away. I'm reading," I shouted and put my attention back to my current book 'The Divergent Series: Insurgent.'
My bedroom door had opened, and someone had entered, but I didn't bother looking up and distract myself from reading. I fixed my glasses that were set on my face and continued to read the book.
Well that was until the person had grabbed the book from my hands. And from that moment on I knew that the person was indeed Calum.
"What do you want Calum?" I asked while taking off my glasses.
"I want your attention and forgiveness my dear partner in crime," he begged while flinging the book somewhere near my laptop that was sitting on my desk.
"Hey!"
I began hitting Calum with my pillow, but of course with his manly built body it didn't effect him in any type of way. He grabbed the pillow easily and hit me with it.
I glared at him and flipped him off while fixing my now messed up ponytail.
"You know Calum, for a person who's asking for my forgiveness you aren't off to a good start," I muttered while tightening my ponytail.
He stood up and walked over to the side of my bed that I was sitting on and removed my hair tie from my head, then releasing my hair into it's natural curly and tangled state.
"Calum!" I shrieked while reaching for my hair tie.
"Why do you tie up your hair Indie? Yeah it's like an afro and very knotty, but I love your hair like that," He stated while sitting down in front of me.
"Because Calum, if I don't tie it up I look like a human with a pom pom on my head," I groaned while attempting to retrieve the hair tie into my possession.
He puts the hair tie around his wrist and leans forward to grasp one of my many curls that were set loose. He begins stroking my hair although it's pretty hard to because of the state it was in.
"Well I love your hair," He whispered while continuously stroking my hair.
"Well I don't."
"I don't care whether or not you like your own hair, even though you should. Your hair is so soft and awesome," He states boldly.
We sit there like that for the next three minutes. Just silence, and the sound of Jaxx scratching on my bedroom door.
"Okay Jaxx, just come in already," I yell but not moving.
He pushes the door wide open with his body I'm guessing and jogs towards my bed. Calum continues to stroke his hand through my hair, pulling at it a little while Jaxx jumps on top of my bed and lies down.
I began to feel a bit squirmy at the position we were in and shifted closer to Jaxx. When Calum finally got the memo, he stopped stroking my hair and stood standing in front of me.
