I would like to say that the story starts from the goblet of fire era, so the triwizard tournament happens. the only thing different is that umbridge will not be in this story and that hermione, ron and harry are sixteen, so they will be in fifth year. Nova and the twins are seventeen, so they are in sixth year.
Nova and fred's story will be a slowburn, as i don't want to rush into the story and i think it might be more interesting if it takes a while for the two to fall for eachother so please don't expect nova and fred to fall in love in chapter twenty because that won't happen, if a slow burn isnt your thing then i wouldn't recommend reading this fanfic!
