i was extremely grateful that it was now friday as snape had already gaven us a pile of homework. today i had barely any classes which i was also happy about, unfortunately the weather wasn't very nice.

i pulled on a white turtle neck jumper with a pair of jeans and my white converse as we didn't have to wear our robes today. i brushed my teeth and styled my hair before i trudged down the steps to the great hall.

"oi, larke!" i heard someone say, turning around to see it was adrian with draco and matthew. "what do you want?" i scoffed, stopping in my tracks. "i just wondered if you would want to go to the three broomsticks with me next saturday? i wouldn't mind spending a day with the three of you." he winked, my eyes widened in discust as i harshly hit him across the face which earned a wince from him.

"hopefully that will snap you back into reality, yeah? quit objectifying me, you stupid boy." i spat, turning on my heel angrily to the great hall. "everything okay, nova?" hermione asked, as i nodded with a smile as i drank at my goblet of pumpkin juice.

after astrology, i strolled down to the great hall as i had a free period and decided to spend it on studying for a potion's quiz which was on monday. i saw ron, hermione and harry and rushed over, hermione motioning for me to sit as if i wasn't going to already.

"are you both nervous for the quidditch match today?" i asked harry and ron, taking out my potions textbook. "not really." harry said, shrugging. "speak for yourself harry! last time we played against slytherin, i was nearly knocked off my broom countless times." ron exclaimed, sighing.

"that's not their fault, that's just you being clumsy." hermione joked, the three of us laughing as ron rolled his eyes. suddenly, there was a note thrown at me which caught my attention. i furrowed my eyebrows, looking to see the note was coming from george's direction. "read it!" he mouthed, as i looked around to see snape was at the ravenclaw table.

what did adrian do to you? i saw the bruise on his face, you got him good.

i chuckled, picking up my own quill as i wrote back to him.

he kept objectifying me, to be honest he deserved it. i'll talk to you later, i see snape eyeing me up.

i wrote neatly, quickly throwing it towards george before i started to revise. "harry, for the love of god but you love that book more than anyone!" hermione exclaimed, shaking her head as she watched him read the advanced potions textbook.

"nova, how did you learn to do wandless magic?" harry asked, completely ignoring hermiones question.

"i never learned, i've always had it i suppose." i said, shrugging. "i wish i could've been born with something that cool." ron scoffed, as i chuckled. "i guess im very special, aren't i?" i winked, before my head was hit harshly with snapes book. i groaned, now having to revise as hermione giggled.

"i actually didn't even mean to punch him, it was supposed to be a slap!" i exclaimed, laughing as i spoke to george in the common room. i had always been close with him. "well, now he's got a lovely purple bruise on his face." george replied, grinning.

"anyway, how's thing's with ang?" i asked, noticing his cheeks went slightly pink. "well we're good, when she told me she had feelings i told her i did too, but im not too sure what's going on now." george explained, his eyebrows furrowed as i sat up. "you should just ask her out, its not like she'd say no." i said, shrugging as he nodded.

"george, are you coming?" i heard, turning around to see fred was there. "uh yeah, just a sec." george replied, smiling. "its fine, i need to meet hermione anyway." i said, standing up as he nodded. "good luck on the match though!" i grinned, hearing fred mumble something as i rushed up to the girls dormitory's.

"you'd want to put on a coat, it's raining heavily out there." she suggested, as i peered out the window she seemed to be right. i quickly slipped into my dorm and grabbed my black puffer coat which i found really comfortable and ran a brush through my hair, before me and hermione strolled outside to the pitch.

"ang! good luck!" i called out, seeing her walking out to the pitch as she smiled whilst waving up towards me and hermione before dissapearing into the tent. me and hermione placed ourselves in the front row of the gryffindor stands, glad to have a good view.

the match soon started with lee's loud voice, gryffindor flying onto the field with slytherin already on their backs. "AND LET THE MATCH BEGIN!!" lee roared, causing the cheers to erupt.

"everything okay, mione?" i asked, furrowing my eyebrows as i noticed the change in the girls behaviour. "yeah, its just ron being stupid again.." hermione replied, a frown visible on her face as i urged her to elaborate.

"i mean, i've dropped enough hints that i like him but all he does is be a foolish git." she ranted, as i shook my head. "well, thats ron weasley for you." i chuckled, lightening up her mood. "dont worry mione, he seems rather into you too." i grinned, causing her to laugh.

the match soon ended with gryffindor winning, luckily scoring once more at the end to angelina. "GO ANGELINA! THAT'S MY GIRL!!" i roared, clapping my hands loudly as we were rushed out of the stands.

mostly all of gryffindor rushed down to congratulate their team, whilst i had ran over to angelina. "oh you totally kicked draco's ass!!" i grinned, pulling her into a tight hug as she laughed. "i did, didn't i?" she said, winking.

we left them to shower and get changed, whilst everyone went up to the gryffindor common room. "im gonna go use the bathroom, i'll meet you up at the common room." i told hermione, giving her a smile as i walked off to the unused bathrooms.

luckily for me, moaning myrtle was asleep so i sneaked inside. "lumos." i whispered, tiptoeing in quietly as i quickly used the bathrooms.

i looked out of the window to see the sky was covered in stars and the moon was out. i had always thought astrology was interesting, thats why i was taking it again this year. the star's and the moon was absolutely breathtaking and would've left me staring at it for ages if i hadn't snapped out of my gaze.

i slipped into the common room, seeing the only sound was the fire crackling. i thought the common room would've been busier but it was deathly quiet.

"miss smartarse using her wandless magic, eh?" george spoke, making me jump from my skin as he hunched over, laughing. "george! i could've seriously died." i spoke dramatically, seeing his twin had a grin on his face. "you boy's are something else, i'll promise you that." i said, as the light in my hand dissapeared.

"night larke!!" george and fred both called out, causing me to shake my head with laughter as i walked up the stairs. i slipped into the room, grabbing one of my white shirts and a pair of plaid pyjama bottoms.
