Sophie wasn't sure what to think now. She had an adoptive sister, she was now sharing her room, and Vertina liked Emi better.
It's not that Sophie didn't like Emi. She adored her. She reminded Sophie of her human sister Amy.
It's just... change. Too much has been changing. And it's so sad to think that Emi has to go through everything Sophie had been through.
Heck, Emi's parents might be alive after all. And Sophie noticed that whenever that subject was brought up Emi looked really worried and anxious.
I mean, it had ruined her relationship with Oralie. Her... biological mother... Except Sophie was looking to make amends with her. By finally giving her Kenric's cache back.
Emi came into the room. "Sophie?" she asked. "Yeah?" "What if- what if I have siblings in the Neverseen?"
Sophie looked up at her adoptive sister. "Why would you think that?"
Emi frowned. "I had this really weird dream."
...
Sophie checked the address written on a slip of paper before knocking on the huge pair of white double doors.
Emi had told her about the dream she had last night.
She had dreamed about a boy in a cloak with a crackling, broken power.
His face looked similar to Emi's, and he wore a black cloak with the white symbol of an eye.
The boy felt familiar somehow. As if... as if... oh no, she had realized.
As if he wore an addler every time Sophie saw him.
And there was only one person who fit that description.
And so here Sophie was, knocking on the doors of this huge house.
"Hello?" A woman answered the door.
Sophie smiled at her. "My name is Sophie Foster. I was wondering if I could ask Lord and Lady Ignis a few questions."
The lady smiled. "My name is Lady Ruth Ignis. It's very nice to meet you Sophie. But I'm guessing your not here to just chat with me. Come inside, and I'll tell you about poor Ruthin, or as you might know him... Ruy.
...
So. Apparently Ruy's father was very strict.
Like Cassius Sencen.
Or Quan Song.
And it was bad.
Jon Ignis either refused to speak with his son, or yelled at him.
It was no wonder that Ruy ran away with the Neverseen.
And to make it worse, Ruy was abused at school by none other than... Gethen. Yes, Gethen. He HATED Ruy because his parents were both Talentless, and Ruy's were super powerful and part of the nobility.
And the most shocking revelation Sophie had found was... Gethen and Ruy are cousins.
And Ruy was framed.
Okay sorry guys! I'm going to try to add on to this but I didn't want to keep you all waiting too long.
