song; striptease by carwash.
in which; they both ditched the party.

fuck it, lucas and dustin were terrible at hosting parties.

they had even rented the campus' fourth floor for their birthday party, and not even half the space was filled up with people.

lame.

"c'mon, it's not that bad." her feisty friend tried so naively to persuade el to stay. but not even she could vouch for her own words.

the second she let the words escape her mouth, they both turned around to notice a new guy, getting nearly choked by his asthma spray.

the redhead mentally cursed at herself, while facing her best friend again. "okay, never mind."

"how can i say this in the sweetest way possible?" she pointed her index finger up to her mouth. "your boyfriends' party sucks."

max gasped in fake offense. "it's dustin's party too."

"so?" the brunette adjusted her nylon crop top. "can i leave?"

the blue eyed girl shrugged. she knew if she didn't let her go, she's either listen to all the brunette's complaints for the rest of the night, or she's sneak out anyway.

she let a deep breath out. "i guess you can go, you've been here for some long thirty minutes anyways."

yes! el internally burst out in excitement, that her best friend was giving in.

"hey.." max put out, with the tip of her nails touching the sleeves of her friends leather jacket, to catch her focus, right before she turned around. "listen, im sorry i brought you into this, i didn't mean to ruin your night," she mumbled, loud enough for el to hear.

her golden pools softened at her friends clearly visible guilt, splashing over her. "don't be. seriously, this is not your fault." she laid her hand on max's shoulder, and looked her deadly in the eyes, to analyze if she found some more guilt behind does icy orbs. "it's okay."

"i just feel like im a horrible friend for dragging you to all these failed parties, all the time." she looked down at her friends three year old, used converse, that she always wore no matter the occasion.

she shook her head, with a dry chuckle. "it's not your fault your boyfriend and his friend, don't have taste."

they immediately looked at each other and tried not to burst out laughing, but failed.

some of els acrylic nails had fallen off some days earlier, and it became visible for max when she reached her hand out, for her to take it. "you can come with me if you want?"

the redhead shrugged. "no matter how much i want to, i need to stay and be a supportive girlfriend." her face was painfully disappointed, but that didn't stop el.

"well.." she took her hand back, and turned to face the exit. "im gonna be a supportive friend somewhere else." and with those words, she left her best friend alone with all the nerds.

but now when she faced the situation she had been dreaming of all night, she didn't know where to go.

she didn't feel like partying since she had been out almost every day, so what could she use her friday night on?
