∆Special ability: She's just kinda... Immune to the leeches?? Idk what's up with him and those things, but they don't kill him, Bela fEEDs THEM- so, immunity to leeches

∆Pet/companion: has three frogs/toads (2 frogs 1 toad) and... A leech. The purple/black with gold pattern is called Daisy, the green one is Tad, both frogs, and the brown one is Polly the toad. The leech is a somewhat deep plum like purple in color and, at first, is about the size of their pinky finger, but grows to be about the size of their (Bela's) arm. Her(the leech) is named Midnight Wisteria. Lovely isn't?
∆Extra: Bela typically allows Midnight Wisteria to just wrap around any of his limbs while traveling, or letting it roam or find a host to feed on for awhile if they stick around for a bit. The frogs typically hop around and don't mind the leech, they enjoy eating fireflies best(are they technically poisonous? Yes, but is this a world of monsters so I will ignore that fact? Also yes) This or the frogs fit into the fanny pack Bela has that holds mainly a lighter and some sharp collectables such as pocket knives and broken glass
∆Other: Bela isn't very fond of people with a lot of energy, and prefers cold blooded things over people. She does the right thing for the wrong reasons, he's quite selfish, but so lovable! Well, if you find that sort of thing lovable, but I made em so I love em! Also (forgot if I mentioned lol) ambidextrous!
∆Backstory: Bela could only ever remember being in the maw for the longest time. She recalls she had been there because of someone or something, and she wasn't alone when he arrived. He was there with her sister, a red haired girl he forgot the name of, or wish he could forget. After arriving they were separated, and Bela couldn't care much, their sister was a bit of a crybaby to them and a nuisance who was too clingy, or that's what he told himself. She had found some baby leeches and one stuck to her(literally) and she thought it was cute and named the cute leech Midnight Wisteria, she even gave the cutie a periwinkle bow, she was adorable! After waiting for the maw to be close enough to where he could see land, Bela and the leech swam to it. It was a forest that turned a bit swampish, they stuck around and Midnight Wisteria swam around and Bela found some tadpoles, the leech had eaten some though not many, and three particular seemed to like Bela. So Bela carried them around in a glass jar of swamp water and refilled it every other day for new bugs and things, eventually letting them out so they could learn to walk and hop and eat food on their own. They stuck around the swamp but found it was too dangerous as the hunter kept putting traps up. So they left for the city. It was fine but not enough water, it was rainy sure but they needed pools, puddles, at least for a base. So on the other side of the pale city was more swamp, perfect! Bela set up a little base inside of a large dead tree stump and used other dead trees to decorate, a medium pond of swamp water provided the frogs and leech to enjoy the mud and bugs freely. Eventually the frogs got so big they began eating mice, rats, other rodents, and even small birds and things like cats! Just small ones though, kittens type, and robins, very small baby mammals and birds and things. Bela would trap fireflies in jars for light then feed them to Daisy, Polly, and Tad while feeding whatever large mammel she found to Midnight Wisteria. He had learned from observing the hunter how to set traps to catch such prey. They ate what Midnight Wisteria wouldn't, as the leech was quite picky! A preference for things with not so much fur or hair. They'd of course frequently go to the pale city, exploring the whole of it while searching for citizens to... Feast upon, Bela had quite liked the meat at the maw and was fond of the taste and found the taste of fresh citizens was almost similar, if not for a strange sandpaper like static aftertaste. They'd sometimes, despite having a camp, stay and sleep, or try to, in random abandoned apartments or stairways in buildings. Bela hardly slept, only doing so when passing out from lack of, or if Midnight Wisteria fed on her and took more than enough blood. But when they encouter the little group in the pale city, he's not particularly fond of them...

1 Child in the Maw: After another stop more children appear in the prison. One is a little red haired girl who spends all her time with a cat in the playroom of the prison, she had come with an older child who appeared to be her sibling. They introduced themselves as Bela then hardly spoke after that. You discover them trying to escape one day with a leech attached to their hand. They offer to let you go with him but only if you promise not to be a bother like her sister.
2 Child of the Pale City: After a lot of unfortunate events you finally reach the end of the pale city, only to find more swamp and woods. Frustrated you continue forward until you stumble across a little base where you step into a trap, getting stuck upside down hanging by some rope attached to your ankle. Bela appears awhile later and cuts you down, trying to figure out why you're in their home. The leech on his arm seems to stare at you like it would like to devour your entire being.
3 Monster of the Maw: After some more guests get on board one pair bring with them two young children, a four year old red haired girl named "Hana" and a 8 year old blue haired kid named "Bela" who seems protective of their sister. To make things easier you watch as the two are separated, Bela suddenly seems as if they'd never cared for their sister who cried while they were separated. Bela had fought against the monsters so hard to stay with her and now she seemed as if they weren't bothered at all! You decide to watch as Bela immediately tries to escape whereas the other girl stays in the playroom. You know if the kid escapes however you will be blamed and you don't want that!
4 Monster of the Pale City: You always do your own thing. But then a little kid and three toads suddenly appear. You witness as the child and the leech wrapped around their hand attack a citizen and suddenly start... EATING IT?! Then they drag the corpse away... What did you just WITNESS?! Then a few days later while thinking of the incident the child appears in your home. uh oh?
