"Come in" Vijay opened the door to his house as he invited you in. You hesitated a little. "What happened? Don't worry you don't have to be nervous come in" He pulled you into his house. He closed the door behind him. "So do you want something to drink or eat?" "Nothing I am good" "Come on you look so tired can I get you a juice?" "Okay" You nodded gently "Great go and sit I'll get you some juice to drink" He smiled and went into the kitchen . You sat on the couch and scanned his house. He really did maintain his house well. It was so beautiful. "You like it?" "Huh?" You turned towards him "The house" "Yea it's pretty" He handed you the juice you got it and took a sip from it. "Why don't you stay here then?" You looked at him "Vijay how can I? I don't want to be a problem for you and I surely don't want to pull you into my problem " "Then where will you go?" My dad... he died even before I was born. He was rich and he had a lot of properties yet he was always humble. He had health issues and the doctors did their best but they couldn't save him" You sobbed. Vijay held your hands "But dad knew he was unwell a long back but he didn't want to disturb our happy family. My mom was pregnant with me and she was so happy. My dad didn't want to ruin that happiness. One day he changed all of the properties to mom's name. My mom was suspicious and asked him a thousand questions why but he didn't answer any and soon enough these happened and he died. He smiled and kissed you on the forehead. "Ahh sorry (y/n) I have to get to work now" "Yea sure go on" You smiled as he got up to get ready . He went upstairs and changed into his police uniform. "You look smart" You winked at him "Thanks" He giggled and kissed you on the cheek "Be safe and if there is any problem you can call me. You looked at the caller ID "Omg I am not going to pick his call" You looked at your stepdad's name and switched off the phone and threw it on the sofa. You looked at your phone for a second as you picked it up and switched it on. As expected he called you again. You picked up the call. "Ahhh my daughter

"(Y/n)" Vijay opened the door as he saw you sitting still thinking about something. "What happened?" You and him sat on the bed "Vijay I don't have any dress to wear for tomorrow" "Oo wait" Vijay got up from the bed and went downstairs and you could hear the main door open and close. He ran back upstairs and had two big bags "What's this?" "I got you some clothes I forgot to bring it in I had it in my car" "You didn't have to get me so much Vijay" You looked at the two big bags "I'll get you even more pfft" You frowned at him "Who will spoil my girl other than me?" He kept the bags down gently and hugged you and kissed you on the head.
