Damnatio was in the middle of doing paperwork, trying to take his mind off of you. He didn't show it, but he was waiting for you to return. You normally visited him twice a week even three times depending on how busy you both were. He had grown fond of you and your presence. So when you suddenly stopped visiting him, he got lonely and concerned. He wondered if you were okay because you never went two months without contacting him.

He knew he began to grow strong feelings for you, he just didn't know how to express them. Damnatio was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't hear you come in. It was only when you sat in front of him that he was pulled out of his thoughts. His eyes met your (e/c) ones.

"You came..."

"Of course..."

"Where have you been for the past few months?" He didn't mean to ask so many questions as if you were on trial. He just wanted answers as to why you didn't visit. You were shocked by his questions and you looked down at your lap and you could feel his stare bore through you.

"Did I do or say something that offended you?" If it was anyone else, they wouldn't have heard the slight hurt in his voice since it was so monotone but you could.

"W-What? N-No... I just felt like I was bothering you. I didn't want you to hate me or annoy me." You said and he put his pen down before reaching over to tilt your head up to meet his eyes. You blinked since this was the first time he intentionally made contact with you.

"So, you distance yourself? If I am being honest, I enjoy your presence. I missed you a lot the past two months." There was a faint blush on his cheeks and your mouth dropped slightly.

"Really?" Was all you could say and he nodded his head before motioning you to come around the desk. You stood and did as he asked and he grabbed you by your waist and sat you in his lap.

"Damnatio~" He suddenly placed his lips on yours causing you to gasp. You gripped his shirt tightly before closing your eyes and began to kiss him back. The kiss was gentle, and much to your surprise his lips were rather soft. As quickly as the kiss started, he parted letting you go.

"Don't stay away for too long again..." He said and you nodded before going back to sitting in front of him. You remained quiet trying to process what happened, he showed no intentions of discussing his actions. The silence went on as he focused on his paperwork for about an hour before he finally spoke up.

"I love you (Y/N)..." You smiled before leaning on your hand.

"I love you too Damnatio." You could have sworn you saw a faint smile on his face as he looked up at you.

"When I am done, I will take you out for lunch."

"It's a date... I should probably go change."

"Stay..."

"Huh?"

"You look fine, stay." He repeated staring at you as you were standing up. You sat back down nodding your head.

"O-Okay, but I don't look okay enough to stand beside you."

"You look amazing. Don't go." He said again and you nodded biting your lip.
