??? POV

The floor was tainted red, not much was left. The fires burned high while echoes of people screamed in his ears. The smell of smoke was almost like I was back in the Nether. Surly this isn't the Overworld.. right? We had just escaped the Nether.. why now? Why again? Mothers corpse fell to the ground with a blunt thud, but it echoed through my ears like a church bell. Father had been left behind after telling us to run. It was just me now.
They had grey skin. Some had axes while others used crossbows. The one who had just killed my mother stood tall. Blood splattered on both his cloths and face as he smiled wickedly. Another came up behind him, looking down at me with the same sadistic grin the other had.

The spoke to eachother, in a language I didn't understand. The man raised his axe, I shut my eyes tight, not wanting to look anymore. Just cowering, waiting for the finishing blow to come. Not wanting to look anymore.
Why was I such a coward..

Philza Pov :)

Even immortals like me have to be careful.
It had been a few years since we arrived in this world. Our God Y/n had asked weird questions when they came to visit.. I wasn't sure what they ment or if they really need to know or if they really need to have their own emotions explained.. especially by us, we're not theripists.

Still, we will not judge our God..  maybe a little, I just wasn't expecting to have such a kind and curious God. They didn't understand emotions, even though they have emotions of their own. It made me wonder what the others were like.

Anyway, I was returning to the first Village our God left us at. Its called Village de Los caídos. Its a weird name but I won't judge. Kristen was gone mining so I decided to do some trading in other villages. It's not too far away anyway.
Though, while flying I began to get worried, there was smoke in the distance and I couldn't tell if they were celebrating or dieing. I couldn't ignore the fire so I flew faster, landing just behind an untouched building.. well, I thought it was untouched..

From above in the air it all seemed fine, but when I landed, turning the corner it was horrific. People, adult's-children! All laying in the street dead. Fires burned high as they consumed each house, these people.. children, had arrows stuck in their tiny unmoving bodies. Adults too. Blood painted the streets red and I could still hear screaming.
Drawing my Netherite sword–a gift from my god–I dove right into the battle to defend this poor Village.

Maybe they had gone to war, or possibly  bandits? I'm not sure. But this was too much. I exited the alleyway I landed in, noticing the house from the otherside was missing an entire wall and was still burning. The sight made wince. Still I couldn't see anyone. But there had to be someone still here, the screaming hadn't stopped just yet.

I carefully made my way through the village only to spot... Pillagers.

There were two of them walking side by side, a small hybrid slung over one of their shoulders. I hid, watching them carefully. Both had expressions I couldn't read but I understood what they were saying.

"Do you think it'll work?" One grunted out, adjusting their grip on the poor child slung over their shoulder.
The other shrugged.

"Dunno, but Vincint seems positive it'll work. You think one hybrid is enough to bring an entire God?" It was the others turn to shrug.

"Eh. What will you ask them for?"

"Simple, emeralds. Gold." He laughed their voices trailing off into the distance.

Phil was about to jump out and attack when he was struck in the shoulder with an arrow, he spun around quickly, getting into a fighting stance not wanting to make his godess regret giving him immortality.  He seen an injured pillager, who used the last shot of his crossbow to shoot him. Phil turned to look for the two who had taken the child but was unable to find them, so he turned to the Pillager.
