"Jordyn!" Dan texted her quickly. She responded within seconds.
"Yes?!"
"Meet me at the airport, now! No time to explain!"
"Sure thing."
Dan picked himself off the bed, tearing the awful note into pieces. He grabbed his coat, and rummaged in his underwear drawer. When he found the small, square object, he grasped it, shoved it in his pocket, and was out the door. He ran to the nearest bus stop, tears still streaming down his face. A few people stood at the stop, but he didn't bother with them. He stood, waiting, tapping his feet impatiently. It took 10 whole, precious minutes, but a bus finally showed up, and Dan piled on, shoving the money at the driver. He picked a seat by himself, wanting to the throw up. But he kept himself composed as he stared determinedly out the window, willing the bus to go faster. Finally, the bus neared the airport. Dan stood suddenly, banging his head on the bus roof, but not bothering with that. Instead, he pulled the cord, causing the bus to come to a screeching halt.
"Thanks!" He said, not bothering to see if the driver could understand his English. Instead, he ran as fast as he could, checking to see if the object was still in his pocket.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" He texted Jordyn frantically.
"Me and Henry are here already!" She responded. "Main lobby!"
Dan dashed inside, nearly pushing over a tourist couple.
"Sorry!"
Once inside, he saw them standing there. Henry pointed, and they ran over.
"What's wrong?!" Jordyn asked him, noticing his tears and red, puffy eyes immediately.
"Phil," Dan choked. "He left...said he's moving out..."
"Not on my watch," Henry growled, gritting his teeth. Both Henry and Jordyn grabbed one of Dan's hands and pulled him forward.
"We gotta find him!" Jordyn exclaimed. Not after too long, they found a sign telling them when the nearest flight to London would be, and what gate it would be at.
"There's a flight leaving at 7:15!" Jordyn exclaimed. "Gate D!" They further pulled Dan deeper into the airport, navigating past security fairly easily since they had no luggage.
"Gate A..." Jordyn muttered.
"Gate B!" Henry shouted, pointing.
"There's C," Dan informed them. Finally, they found D. And a certain black-haired British man who sat, facing away from them.
"Phil!" Henry and Jordyn cried, running forward, and pulling Phil to his feet. They spun him around until he faced Dan. Dan couldn't help but notice that Phil's own face was tear streaked and blotchy. His eyes showed no emotion. At that moment, Dan knew what he had to do.
And he descended to one knee, pulling the object out of his pocket. Henry and Jordyn gasped, while Phil's red eyes widened.
"Phil...." Dan said, out of breath. Then, the words came to him as he opened the box, revealing the ring. "Philip Michael Lester. We met 6 years ago, after I found you. Sure, I stalked you forever. But it's because I loved you. And sure, we Skyped for hours, but I loved every minute of it." Tears started flowing from his eyes again. "And then we met...the best day of my life. I wanted to kiss you so bad that day, you have no idea. But I didn't, because I didn't know that you felt the same way, and I didn't want to lose you. Because you saved me. And the we moved in together...and it was supposed to only last a year, back in Manchester. But here we are Phil, 6 years later. We live in freakin' London! We wrote a book, Phil! We hosted the BRITs, we made a family, just you and me, and we're here in Tokyo, Phil! And I was so damn stupid earlier, I'll admit, I choked. Because I never could have imagined that you felt that way about me, I could have never imagined that you, the Phil Lester, could love me...I'm just me." He smiled sympathetically. "And I'm so sorry that I let you go earlier. But Phil...Phil I love you so damn much, Phil..." He started sobbing at this point, and so did Phil. And so did Henry and Jordyn for that matter. "Phil...I love you. You saved me all those years ago, and you continue to save me everyday. And I want you to save me everyday for the rest of my life, everyday I want to spend with you. So..." He caught his breath here. "Will you, Philip Michael Lester...will you marry me?" There was a hush of silence for just a split second, before Phil whispered.
"Of course I will."
He rushed forward, lifting Dan up, and kissing him, right there in the middle of the airport. Their mouths moved together in harmony, tears mixing, and embracing so tightly, that if they were any closer, they'd be one. Fireworks exploded in both Dan and Phil's mind, and Dan's fist somehow found its way into the air while his other hand clutched at Phil's hair. Suddenly, there was applause in the background, and happy whoops and cheers from Henry and Jordyn. But at that moment, Dan and Phil were the only two people on Earth. They broke away from each other for a second, foreheads leaning into each other.
"Dan I love you," Phil said, still sobbing happily. "I always have..I always will."
"Forever please," Dan laughed through tears, while fumbling for the ring. He slipped it on Phil's finger. "We're gonna be married," he giggled. Then, they gestured for Henry and Jordyn, and the pair ran towards them. They all collided in a giant, warm embrace as Dan reached down to kiss Phil once again. And this was only the beginning of their lives together.
"Thank you," Dan said to Henry and Jordyn, coming up for air.
"Yes, so much," Phil wrapped an arm around Dan's waist before leaning in towards Dan's ear.
"I have an idea."
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"I hope so."
"Me too."
And the four hugged again, this time with eternal love and an unspoken promise hanging balanced in the air.
