On the same night, Reina and Soojin were in the main bedroom, where a discussion took place.

"Soojin? You're still awake?"
Reina questioned as she went toward him in her lilac nightgown, her voice soft and subdued.

She made Soojin flinch, and he hastily buried the page title on his desk with his hand.
"O-oh, Yes."
He fumbled over his words.

Reina raised a brow at the piece of paper on his desk, dubious about why he was concealing it.

She leaned against his desk and asked with her pointed hands,

"What is that? Why are you hiding it?"
Her voice curled.

Soojin took a deep breath and backed down. He didn't want to let her look at the paper, but then he realised he had no choice but to allow her.

Reina had to squint her eyes as he slowly opened the sheet of paper, seeking to read the letters.

It read, 'Postpone confirmation.'

Reina's pupils twitched in response to the following words, which read: 'Execution to be extended for two days,'

Reina glared violently at Soojin and exclaimed,

"Soojin, what exactly are you doing?!"
She furiously asked, brows clashed, eyes raging in a temper.

Her abrupt outburst of fury took Soojin aback, but he had anticipated it, and so he immediately explained,

"I have to wait for Heeseung's—"
His sentence got cut off by Reina.

"What... You don't believe my words?"
She scoffed and backpedalled from him, her laughter sour.

"No, Reina, it's just that—"
Once again, he got cut off.

"Soojin... We've been together ever since.... and you..."
Reina paused and broke down in tears, prompting Soojin to shudder in shame as he saw her tears falling.

"A-and you still don't trust me?"
Her cheeks began to flush with tears as she cried out aloud.

Soojin immediately leapt to his feet and pulled her into a tight embrace.
