"I never would've thought I'd meet you, Kunikuzushi,"

3rd Person POV

"What..? How do you-" the man's eyes widened as you started giving a slight smile. The flickering room began to fade as everything went black.

End of Flashback/dream

Ei stared at you with shock. You had tears in your eyes. "Y/N? What do you mean?" Ei asked, frowning. "Don't.. don't act dumb, Ei. You know what you've done, or you should. Shouldn't you?" You whispered at Ei. The dream you had..you didn't know how to describe it. Did you really want to believe the thrown away puppet Kunikuzushi? Or did you want to side with Ei? You weren't sure.

"Darling I-" "No, Ei! Please. Just..give me some time I...I need to think about some things," You spoke with warm tears streaming down your face as you interrupted Ei, whom sat confused. "As you wish," she whispered, as she got up and calmly walked out of the room. You were practically drowning your hole of thoughts. You pondered the possible solutions. You could escape Ei, and go back to Liyue. But then there was that chance Ei would go haywire and get even worse than she already is.

Ei on the other hand was not doing good. Ei hadn't sobbed so hard in ages, she kept sniffing. She wondered what she had done wrong. Her sobs weren't quiet, they were loud and painful to listen to. You were Ei's only escape from her constant loneliness, but you weren't very happy with her, and this made Ei the saddest she's been in centuries. "What have I done to make her so mad..?" Ei spoke between sobs. "What have I done?" She whispered.

Ei slammed her head on a wall and walked towards her office. She shakily sat in her office chair, quickly putting her head down and sobbing even louder.

You had heard Ei's sobs. This made you feel extremely guilty. And why had you felt such guilt? Now you knew what she had done in the past, yet you still felt attracted to her. You sighed. "Why do I feel attracted to you? You've done so many terrible things yet I feel the need to forgive you. Why do I feel this way? What have you done to me, Ei?!" You sobbed. You rubbed your tears away, and got up. You couldn't handle the guilt of making Ei feel bad. You walked towards her office.

You knocked on the door. But instead of a 'come in' you heard a 'go away'. You frowned. You sighed once again and opened the door. Ei didn't even bother lifting her head up. You walked over to her, the floor slightly creaking as the sound of rain poured in a comforting way. "Ei..?" You whispered. Ei didn't respond, she just continued to sob. You put your hand on her shoulder, you started speaking a gentle manner. "Ei? I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to make you upset," Ei looked up at you. Her face, which was red and tear stained, more tears streaming down her face.

"Y/N..?" She muttered. "I'm sorry! Please! Please don't hate me! Please don't leave me!" Ei whisper yelled this, her voice continuously breaking. She shakily stood up, "You...I..please...forgive me, Y/N. Please! Please...please...please don't ha-" "Oh, Ei, I don't hate you. I just had..a strange dream and it...I don't know how to explain...but I forgive you, Ei. I promise," Ei looked at you, her eyes glossed in tears. "R-really?" "Yes, Ei," you spoke, hugging Ei tightly.

Ei had gained some happiness back. Still, she had wondered what happened in your dream. The sky was still dark out, and it was time for the sun to rise. Ei hadn't done anything to change the weather, so the sudden darkness wasn't normal.

Ei and Y/N stayed in a tight embrace for a while. Ei's sobs eventually had calmed down. Ei assumed that Y/N had a dream where it possibly informed Y/N of Ei's previous crimes. Ei's eyes were somewhat shut, as she was about to fall asleep. "I love you Ei," Y/N spoke, smiling. "I love you too, darling," Ei smiled.

Ei and Y/N's future was set, they planned on pushing all bad things away and just accepting each other! No matter what! Perhaps...this was the end! A true eternity. An eternity together.

You really thought it ended there?

The man ran towards Tenshukaku as he wasn't planning on letting Ei ruin the innocent girl Y/N. "No, Ei. I won't let you get away with this! I refuse...to let someone suffer the same fate as me. Whether or not it does happen, I still don't want anyone relive my pain.."

The pouring rain fell on him, but his hat was enough to protect him from it.

"Ei, you monster," He grumbled, anger beginning to fuel up within him. The rain only poured harder, it's as if it was the thing enduring the man's anger.

"No please! Please don't leave me! No no no- come back please! You can't just leave me here, right? No, come back!"

The man shuddered at his shameful memories. He couldn't let Ei harm another soul..whether or not he even had one or not.

"Kunikuzushi, I have no use for you," the woman spoke bitterly as she stood quite a few inches above the man.

His name was Kunikuzushi, but he wouldn't consider that as name anymore.

Perhaps he had an intuition as to where Y/N and Ei would be located, he wondered if he was correct, though he knew he was. Ei has always resided here- or at least from what he remembers. Then again, that was many years ago. Those years when he was still Kunikuzushi.

Lightning was striking, this was unnatural weather for this part of Inazuma. Even he knew that. He could see Tenshukaku in the distance, he continued on his path.

He didn't know if he would or should have any second thoughts, as he didn't care at this point. He didn't know if Y/N had already forgiven Ei once again. He didn't know if he truly hated Ei. He thought he did. But what would happen if he didn't? Deep down, in the depths of his heart, does he still care for Ei? He doesn't know. He doesn't care. Or does he?

He ran up the stairs, finally arriving at the huge building that carries the name of Tenshukaku. He noticed guards that were, of course, doing their job. Too bad that they didn't even bother to notice Kunikuzu- my bad, as he prefers to go by Scaramouche now, doesn't he?

His hat was dripping wet, as you would assume, a regular thing to do would put the hat down. He debated if he should or not, the cold rain dripping down his face. This was way causes him to throw the hat aside and continue on.

He peeked in many rooms, but, he eventually found the one he was looking for all along.

"Ah. I see. So you've already forgiven her, Y/N?"
