chapter nineteen

"Someone's trying to break into Tenshukaku,"

3rd Person POV

   "What?!" Ei yelled, walking foward, forming some important chat with Miko. Kunikuzushi mumbled something. "Huh?" You asked. You had heard him, but not his exact words. "What was that, Y/N? Did you say something?" Ei asked, concerned yet very quickly. "Oh, nothing, sorry Ei. You need to figure out a way to protect Tenshukaku," You replied. "Alright then, Y/N," Ei smiled, you could tell she was nervous about what was happening.

   "Kunikuzushi, what did you say?" You asked him, whispering. He seemed surprised that you heard him. He stayed silent. About to speak, Kunikuzushi sighed and began to speak. "I said S-" a huge crash from outside interrupted him. "Ei!" You yelled. "Ei..?" You asked as you noticed she wasn't in the room. It was only you and Kunikuzushi. "Kunikuzushi do you know where Ei went?" You asked, with a bitter tone that you weren't meaning to do. "She's not over there?" He asked, surprised. He looked around. He didn't see Ei.

   "Where is she..?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows. "Kunikuzushi, what did you say before?" Your tone was extremely bitter. He sighed. "Signora," "Signora?" "Yes, Signora," You we're confused. Who was this? Kunikuzushi sighed. "There's no time to explain, I believe Ei can take her down with one strike but Signora is definitely planning something. We can't let Ei get injured, she's our main powerhouse here. We most likely won't be able to protect ourselves if something happens to Ei," Kunikuzushi explained. You nodded. You both quickly went outside of Tenshukaku.

   You noticed a blonde woman. And Ei, Miko, and Kujou Sara were keeping her from entering. "Where is Scaramouche? He's all I want," The woman spat. "Is this the Signora person?" You asked Kunikuzushi, whispering. "Yes," he sighed. "I'm assuming she wants to head back to the Fatui base with me. Which I'm not going to," You didn't know who this Signora was, but you assumed it was that blonde woman that stood a few feet from you.

   "Scaramouche?" Ei asked. "You know who I'm taking about, Shogun," She spat, beginning to choke Ei. Miko shocked her hands with one strike her catalyst. "Fucking bitch!" Signora yelled. Her hands were red, as if they had been severally burnt. "Give. Me. Him. Right. Now!" Signora yelled, attempting to attack Ei, but with Ei's battle experience, was able to dodge it. Signora glared daggers at Ei, beginning to pant a slight bit.

   Signora was planning something big. "Well, Shogun. If I'm not enough to take you down, they will be!" She yelled. And then, right behind her, came four figures. You instantly knew whom they were. Your eyes widened. "Uhh? You okay?" Kunikuzushi asked. He looked over in the direction you were staring at. "Oh fuck," He gasped. He sighed. "I knew this was what she was planning. Don't worry, I'm sure we can defeat them," You looked at Kunikuzushi in the eyes. "No. I hope Ei can take them down. She has Miko and Kujou Sara on her side, but these were all vision holders. Ayaka and Ayato are strong. Or at least they were," You spoke quietly.

   "Well- Oh my god," Kunikuzushi gasped. Thoma, or at least the corpse of him, went up and stabbed Sara. She fell to the ground, weakened. Your eyes widened. This caused Miko and Ei to get put off guard. All of the five came and surrounded Ei. "Kunikuzushi, what do we do?!?" You whisper yelled. "I..I don't know," he panicked.

   "Oh, Almighty Shogun, if you just give me Scaramouche, none of this will continue," Signora spoke, picking at her nail completely unbothered. Ei's eyes were stern as she began to speak. "And what if I don't?" Ei began to slice at the corpses of the four deceased citizens.

   Signora was furious. Her eyes burned of hatred. "Fucking just give me the little brat!" She yelled. "Damn. Is she always like that?" You asked, whispering. "Unfortunately, yeah. She's honestly really rude," Kunikuzushi whispered, shrugging his shoulders.

   Signora was done, she began lighting bushes that sat around on fire. "Kunikuzushi, fuck. She's going to find you!" You whisper yelled. Kunikuzushi stared into nothing with widened eyes. "No. I don't want to go back with Signora," You stared at him. He sighed. "But maybe I can distract her for a moment," You stared at him with shock as he began to stand up slowly.

   "Where is- Scaramouche!" Signora yelled. Kunikuzushi walked up to her. His short figure stood about a foot or two below her. Kunikuzushi reached his hand up, and before Signora knew it, he slapped her. "I'm not coming back with you!" He yelled. Signora stared at Kunikuzushi. "You! You brat! After everything I have done for your ass, this is how you treat me?!" Signora's eyes were a scary sight as she glared at the young puppet (lol imagine being a puppet). Kunikuzushi glared back.

   "I will ruin Inazuma as a whole, you know I can do it!" Kunikuzushi stared at Signora. "Oh? Can you really? I mean, I would assume the hatred you have for the Gods would be enough motivation, but would your dead husband want you to do this?" Kunikuzushi smirked. You, Ei, and Miko looked at the smirking Kunikuzushi. "Dude..." You whispered. "That was harsh.." Signora stared at Kunikuzushi. "What has this bitch done to you?" She asked, walking up to Ei.

   "Give me my old Scaramouche back!" She yelled, running to grab Ei's Gnosis. Ei didn't have enough time to think, causing Signora to have a lead. And somehow, Signora had gotten her Gnosis. Ei fell to the ground, dramatically. You gasped quickly running over to Ei. Signora smirked at you.

   "You're almost as pathetic as that Bard in Mondstadt, except you're stronger," Signora began to walk away, messing with the Gnosis that she held in her hand, also leaving Ei to lay unconscious. You couldn't do much as you sat by her side, staring at her. "Give that back..." Kunikuzushi whispered. "Give it back!" He yelled, running behind Signora. But, before Signora even processed the words, Kunikuzushi had stabbed the woman. "Scara..mouche..?" She stuttered. "Why would you..after.. everything I've done for you..?"

   Kunikuzushi stared at her, eyes stern. "What exactly have you done for me?" He tilted his head. Signora was taken off guard. "Make me feel like trash almost everytime I encountered you?" He asked. Signora looked at Kunikuzushi with softer eyes. "Or the continuous times you had continued to ignore me?" Signora looked at Kunikuzushi, holding her stomach.

   She stayed silent, and dropped the Gnosis. "I'll be taking that," He said, smirking bitterly. "No! Give...that back! What..what use do you h-have for it?!" Signora stumbled on her words. "I don't have one. But Ei does," He spoke, walking over to Ei and giving you the Gnosis. "Give it her when she wakes," you nodded. "Kunikuzushi what are you doing?" You asked quietly. "Just trust me," He walked back towards Signora. "She's not actually injured, she's faking it," He explained. Signora sat up normally, glaring at Kunikuzushi. "You fucking brat, exposing my plans? Well, I guess we'll have a battle then,"

   Signora stared at Kunikuzushi, whom stood unafraid.

   "Signora, it's time to get what you deserve,"
