Chapter 9

While Lisa was busy choosing drinks and some desserts to bring back for Jennie, she has not yet notice a man making a move on her girlfriend. She was thinking carefully about Jennie's likes and dislikes in food, taking her long to choose.

Back on Jennie, the man gave her a smile as he took a seat on Lisa's seat, which was exactly beside Jennie, putting his glass of drink at the table.

However, compared to the man's enthusiastic face, Jennie was far from happy seeing the man, actually disturbing her from looking at Lisa.

Her face remained emotionless along with a cold look in her eyes, the man felt the unwelcome feeling from Jennie but he didn't mind it, thinking that sooner the woman will succumb to his charms.

There was a slight fear seeing that kind of look from Jennie but the man braved himself, thinking back of what his Grandfather said.

"Ms. Kim, you look gorgeous tonight." he suddenly said, eyes remained looking Jennie who didn't acknowledge him at all.

"Thank you. Do I know you?" was Jennie's cold reply, she clearly didn't know the man but he was acting like they had known each other for a long time.

"Oh! My bad. I'm Seong Heonji from Seong Company, you can call me Heon, or much better hon." he said seductively, winking at Jennie.

'Seong Company, hmm' she thought, glancing at Seong Heonji, perhaps this man was the heir of the Seong family, one of the big family in the city.

Instead of answering, Jennie didn't mind him, already seeing what the man's purpose of approaching her, just like what some of the people's purpose of coming here.

"Then I'll call you hon too." he persisted, hearing no reply from Jennie, thinking her silence means yes.

"Mr. Seong, I don't like you." without any further ado Jennie said directly.

Seong Heonji was shocked hearing that, this was the first time a woman directly rejected him and it made him feel angry paired with his pride, higher than a building he can't take the rejection easily but somehow he got more interested with the orange haired woman.

He pursed his lips, take the glass of his drink before standing up from the seat. He was about to say something when Lisa suddenly appeared behind him, directly greeting Jennie without giving the man another glance.

"Hon, here's your drink. I also brought you some dessert." Lisa put the food and drink she brought on the table then calmly took her seat back.

The man was speechless after Lisa appeared just like that, she didn't even give him a glance and it somehow hit his pride, most girls takes a glance or two at him but this blond woman didn't even give him another glance which irritated him.

The two women was testing his patience, he was confident about himself which was also one of the reason for his arrogance. However, these two women he just met didn't even mind him, he was like a piece of rug being discarded as if he was nothing.

What shocks him after was seeing Jennie's soft and calm look as she looked at Lisa, reaching out the glass she(Lisa) lend.

Also the blond called Jennie hon but the latter didn't mind, while he said he will call her hon but Jennie directly rejected him. He was now curious about the relationship between the two.

These days being in a relationship with the same gender was common and some were accepted while some were not but it was unusual of him to see with his own eyes this kind of relationship.

Despite his irritation, Seong Heonji gave Jennie a smile then a quick glance at Lisa who was tending at Jennie carefully before he said,

"Well, Ms. Kim, it's nice meeting you. Maybe soon you'll like me too." he grinned, took a sip from his wine before walking away giving the couple a one final look.
