4 years later

It was almost lunch time, the sun was shining brightly with it's heat making anyone sweat.

In a big but private residence villa a black haired woman was sitting at the backyard, overlooking a man made lake outside the villa's fences. The man made lake was also part of the property that the black haired woman's family owned.

They bought this property almost 4 years ago, a property where her family completely resides after the hardships that they faced also 4 years ago. It's like a fresh start.

"You're thinking about it again." a sudden voice broke the silence around the woman.

She didn't turn around to see who it was because by its voice she already know who the owner was.

"I can't get it off my mind. It's been four years but it felt like it was just yesterday."

"Lisa, you're happy with your life now right?" Lisa looked at the person's face that also resemble hers, it was Lilian, her mother.

Lilian took a seat beside her seeing that Lisa's attention was on her.

"I am mom, I'm very happy now. It's just there's a part of me that can't easily forget about what happened that day." Lisa was sincere, it was clear in her eyes that she was happy with her life now but there's also a sadness in her tone that Lilian felt.

Lisa looked back at the peaceful lake in front before letting out a sigh, "I almost lost her. All I felt that time was blankness, I couldn't come back in reality for a while because I was afraid of facing it. I was afraid that if I wake up to reality, I'll find myself living a life without Jennie in it." her voice breaks after saying that.

Lilian took Lisa in her arms, she hugged her warmly and Lisa was thankful for it, she needed this hug.

"It's okay, let it all out, don't bottle it up inside you. You know I'm proud of you right, I know Jennie's too. You came back to us, you chose to came back to reality despite the bad outcomes that you may face because you know Jennie needed you. You two still got a  future ahead of you." Lilian comforted then gave her daughter a kiss on her forehead.

It made Lisa smile, she's really thankful to have a mother like her, she's also thankful to finally have a mother that she can lean on whenever she's facing hardships. A family that she can lean on now, a family that she was denied before but now she has her own.

Fours years ago, Lisa felt like her world was slowly collapsing when Jennie was taken from her and that moment they were fighting against time.

As time went by Lisa felt like time was also slowly taking Jennie from her and she was scared, she was scared of losing Jennie.

Her mind was blank upon seeing Jennie closing her eyes in her arms. She called for her name but she didn't wake up, her eyes remained closed.

She didn't even noticed that moment they also reached the hospital and Jennie was directly taken from her and transferred to a stretcher while the nurses quickly took her to the OR to start her surgery.

Lisa didn't even noticed one of her men guiding her outside the operating room to wait for Jennie. She didn't noticed both of their family and friends coming in the hospital the moment they heard about the news from one of their men.

Her mind was blank, it was like her memory remained frozen on the happy moments that she had with Jennie, she chose to think of those memories than face the reality about Jennie bleeding in her arms while time was slowly taking her.

She didn't hear her family and friends calling her name, she didn't even feel the slap that Lily gave her to wake her up from her state, she was like a blank piece of paper sitting there while everyone around her was crying as they did her best to wake her up and also wait for Jennie's surgery to be done and to know if she's finally out of danger.
