Chapter 12

It was another day of work and just like any other day, Jennie was at the KM Company, one of the leading company in the country that was owned by the Kim Family.

KM Company was founded by Jennie's great grandfather.

Back then KM Company was a small business run by her great grandparents, time passed, it grows and it grows until it became this big.

Her great grandparents dedicated their life, giving the company the chance to make it's own name and it was a success though it wasn't all success just like any other company they also had their failures but when Jennie's grandfather was born, it was like a miracle.

KM Company got back to the top until it continued to these days, it was then lead by her grandfather, passed to her father until it was passed to her, the KM Company made it's own name and remained as the leading company of the country.

Many tried to defeat the Kim Family in their position in the business world and as the top prestigious family in the country but they we're strong with the silent protection of her great grandfather, those who dared lead to failure but there will always be brave enough to challenge them and soon they will make a move.

Leading a big company wasn't easy for Jennie at all, she doesn't have that much time for herself hence her lack of love life, she started hating too much crowded places, hating the idea to interact with others mostly plastic people that's why she doesn't attend that much parties. Until Lisa came, everything changed.

She was focused being the boss of the big company, receiving too much pressure, from others, even from herself.

The reason she started to have this cold emotionless face making her fearsome but attractive as always.

It was like her life only revolves around work and home, closed to the outside world, to where social life is.

Since many individuals or families or her employees we're expecting from her, she doesn't have that much social life, despite it all she still has some friends, a genuine one especially in a form of her close relative.

Speaking of, one of them was on their way to the KM Company to visit Jennie.

In the office, Jennie was busy with some paper works while Lisa was sitting at the sofa, typing something on a laptop she borrowed from Jennie.

Jennie also assigned an office for Lisa to wait for her whenever she's at work but Jennie prefer her staying with her in the office that's how Lisa ended up staying with Jennie.

A voice resounded around the office taking Jennie's attention away from her paper works.

"Hon, what if I'll stop working as your bodyguard? So you don't have to pay for my service anymore."

Jennie looked at the serious Lisa who was now looking at her.

"What do you mean?"

"It's like this, I don't want people saying you're some kind of sugar mommy to me just because I'm working with you while I'm also your girlfriend."

"Why do you care about what others think?"

"I don't care about them telling bad things about me, but I can't take them saying bad things about you."

Jennie was confused why this sudden thoughts came to Lisa, she understand her but the problem was she doesn't want Lisa to be away from her.

"I can still protect you even if I'm not your bodyguard anymore, I will protect you because I want to, and because you're my woman."

"Also, I can find some other job to save money for us. I know it's not gonna be that much, but I'll do my best, for you."

Although confused, Jennie felt warmth in her heart after hearing that, especially looking at the nervous Lisa who was fidgeting in the sofa while waiting for her answer. The laptop was abandoned in the table in front of Lisa.
