"So you're saying that you left Megumi with that Yoshino woman all day?"
"Kind of yeah! A clone of mine's with him, so no need to worry big guy." I affectionately patted him on the cheek with a smile.
He grunted in acceptance before scrunching up his nose as he looked down past my shoulder. "Remind me again why we didn't just teleport home like you used to?" he said in a bored tone.
He was currently on my back, one arm securely around my neck and the other on my waist as we flew home. The view was pretty cool — pun intended — being 6000 meters above ground, providing us with a great view of the city below.
"What? Don't tell me you never wished to fly when you were a kid? That's boring."
"In this weather? No." he sassed back.
"Tsk, tsk. You're being a bit dramatic, aren't you?"
He smirked near my ear, his mouth barely millimeters away from it, effectively sending shivers down my back before he spoke in a deep and sensual tone, "You just wanted me behind y—." Yeah, no. I dropped the mo-fo before he could finish that sentence and watched with smugness as his eyes widened for a split second.
I waited three seconds before diving down to catch him before he could go splat and traumatize people who were minding their own business. Did I care if anyone saw us? Nah.
"Why didn't I hear you scream?" I said as we took off once more, startling a grandma who screeched in horror after I caught him. Sorry!
"I knew you'd catch me," he simply shrugged, as if he hadn't just nearly gone splat on the ground.
"... damn, and I was sure you'd be screaming like a bitch for once," he snorted. "Sometimes I wonder if you're okay in the head," I mumbled.
"Says the one who almost committed murder."
"Shut up!"
We eventually got home around 4 PM after stopping to grab something to eat, but not without bickering like children on the way there and scaring some people as they saw us land in front of our apartment complex. The long flight was for a reason, so I evaded his questions about it.
