Now that I hang out with Ash one-on-one, I realize that he's a relatively quiet person. I've noticed that he tends to prefer gestures, like nodding/shaking his head and using hand movements, etc.

He's also really sweet, and has a precious heart. He enjoys thinking about the good parts of life and focuses on the little things.

His hand wraps around mine, guiding the bubble-wrapped lamp into the box sitting in front of me. His movements bring me out of my trance.

"Sorry" I mumble, shaking my head to clear my thoughts. He just tucks more items into his own box before asking;

"Are you okay?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah, of course! Sorry I'm just getting distracted" I grin sheepishly, guilty of slacking off when I'm supposed to be helping Ash finish packing. He nods slowly, offering a small smile back.

It's now 5:43PM, and literally almost everything is packed, the boxes stacked neatly into the corner of the living room, closest to the apartments door.

Ash's apartment is pretty nice. It's spacious, modern, quiet. And it has an impeccable view. River Thames flows strong and proud as I gaze down at its waters from the high-rise window.

The high-rise is near the Library (gorgeous), the aquarium (amazing), and London's Eye; the ginormous, beautiful Ferris wheel which offers even more stunning views (phenomenal).

"Right—" I return my focus to the task at hand. "—Shall we do this?"

Moving Ash's bed—which once was a full sized, framed, electric-blanketed bed, but now is just a precisely blanketed mattress—into the living room. This way, when we move his things out, we need to squeeze it through the minimal amount of doorways, and Ash can sleep by the heater for his remaining time in this apartment.

The whole place is cold, empty, and seems desperately over-sized without any furniture to make it feel comfy. Don't ask me what he did with all of his previous furniture, I've no clue.

"Right here?" I ask, shuffling over to the corner, Ash squished against the wall, both of us huffing as we struggle to hold up the unnecessarily heavy mattress. He nods, and we both drop it between us simultaneously.

I flop down onto the bed on the floor, Ash sitting down beside me. I pull out my phone when it buzzes in my pocket. It's the group chat.

Hey! I'm Mark, can't wait to
work with you guys!

"We have a drummer" I look up at Ash with a smile, watching as he pulls out his phone.

Ash :D
Hi, Mark

Joe!!
Hello Mark!!!

Mark :]
lol hi guys! o/

Ash puts his phone back into his pocket, standing up and holding out a hand to help me up too.

"Are you looking forward to the band thing?" Ash asks, making me giggle as he pulls me up and twirls me around at the last beat of the song that's playing on the speaker.

"Heaps. I'm so excited, you can't even fathom. I hope we can all be good friends, and create music we all love. If we can just do that, even if our band doesn't find success, I think this adventure will be pretty fun" I grin, twirling him around this time. He chuckles. "You?"

"I'm curious to see where it takes me, us. I have this sort of giddy feeling, this un-explainable excitement type-beat. I like this feeling" He grins right back at me.

"Wanna order pizza and have a look at places for you to live?" I offer, adding, "I'll pay?" He laughs.

"We'll half it" he  smiles, pulling out his phone again and opening the Pizza Hut app. We order our pizza, then set up a mini fridge by the bed, also acting as a bedside table.

I pull his coffee table over to the bed, and Ash opens his laptop on it.

"I've been wanting to move recently" I comment. He turns to look at me.

"We should move to Brighton, split the rent. We get the same pay, and it's an online job, also we're only a train away from uh... those what's-her-faces, I forgot their names" He mumbles the last part.

"That's ridiculous, we hardly know each other. But it's a really good idea. We'd be with the band too!" I exclaim, turning his suggestion over in my mind.

Wanna video call

Me
I'm helping Ash look for a new place

Wil 💀
I can help? I don't mind

Me
Oki :D

I call Wilbur after checking with Ash, and soon Wil is on a screen in front of us.

"Hi" He greets and we smile, greeting him back.

"So I've been wanting to move for a while, so Ash said that we should split rent in Brighton together" I explain to Wil, Ash nodding beside me.

"I want to move too, I've been here for too long already. Let me live with you too and I'll pay a third, or even more, considering my income I guess it'd only be fair" Wil says, browsing places on his own computer.

"Of course, right Ash?" Ash nods, confirming my answer, "and no, we don't want you to pay more, that's unfair. Just because you earn more money doesn't mean you have to pay more" I grin, rolling my eyes.

"Yay, okay. I think I've an optional place to put on our list to start with. Hold on a second.. I will send you the link" Wilbur grins, his energy now boosted by the confirmation of our plans. This is going to be an eventful ride.
