"W-What are saying? A-Are you saying Ojiro's dead?" Hagakure almost choked up.
Bakugo looked at the floor ashamed. He couldn't believe he told her like that.
"Ojiro is M.I.A. Everyone else didn't make it..." Midoriya answered with a saddened look.
This was a relief for her to hear. At least there was a chance he was alive. However, the same couldn't be said for the others. The news was a shock to them. Ashido collapsed to her knees in utter despair while Shoji threw a chair moments thereafter.
Ashido teared up and didn't know how to stop it. Tsu and Tokoyami were dead and she wasn't there to help them. She wanted to do nothing more than crawl under a rock and die. The others couldn't bear to watch, so Yaoyorozu comforted her with a hug.
"What now?" Kirishima sniffled tearfully.
"Now we leave," Todoroki interrupted, burning incoming zombies.
It seemed the dozens of zombies from the food court were heading their way. They would have to grieve later because if they didn't move then their mission would've been for nothing.
"There's so many..." Sato could hardly believe it.
"Let's move!" Snipe shouted, shooting the ones that didn't succumb to the fire.
"What about Ojiro?!" Hagakure questioned.
"I'm sorry, kid, but if your friend is alive, he'll have to meet up with us! The kids are our mission and we simply don't have the time," Snipe told the cold truth.
"But heroes don't leave comrades behind!" She argued.
"Listen! Even if he did survive the Nomu, I doubt he could survive a herd!"
"Sir! Please!" She tried to reason.
"I'm sorry, but we've ALL lost comrades today. Our priority now is completing the mission."
"SCREW THE MISSION! I'm going back for Ojiro!" She raised her bat.
That was the last straw.
Before she could run, Snipe raised his gun and knocked her out. The sheer force of the swing drew blood that was seen on her invisible face.
Everyone was at a loss for words.
Never could they imagine him doing such a thing. Nevertheless, he ignored their looks, picked up Hagakure, and handed her to Bakugo, who didn't hesitate to carry her.
"I'm sorry... But I can't lose anyone else today."
With no choice but to keep moving, everyone followed Snipe to the exit. Mineta and Todoroki watched the back while Aoyama and Snipe watched the front. If a zombie lunged from the dark, it would get a bullet to the head. And with Yaoyorozu at his side, he could reload on ammo.
"Don't stop!" Iida told the kids.
"But, Mr. Iida, my legs hurt!" Hai complained.
"So? All of our legs hurt!!!" Tamashiro interjected beside Yumi.
Noticing how tired she looked, Iida slowed his pace and gently sat her around his head. "Is that better?" He asked, prompting her to nod.
He smiled and continued onward. "Alright... Don't let go!"
Bakugo, Midoriya, and Uraraka were faster than everyone. They saw firsthand what zombies were capable of and didn't want to end up dead. Out of the three, though, Bakugo was the fastest. He had precious cargo and couldn't risk her life by falling behind. He wasn't gonna let anyone else die because of him.
