Chapter 10

Emylee's POV

(Me: Imagine an arrow design on the front of the shirt that struck a target with the words Blue Arrow. And the shoes would have two tiny little bow and arrows near the top.)

I woke up and looked through my closet for a Blue Arrow inspired outfit. Then proceeded to go downstairs where Marinette and her friends already were waiting for the bus. The rest of the class comes and we board the bus to go to Metropolis to visit the Daily Planet. Travis fell asleep on my shoulder on the way to the Daily Planet. So, I woke him up once we arrived. Clark Kent and Lois Lane are our tour guides. I know that they are co-parenting for Jon's sake, but with Clark being a superhero she was bound to leave the relationship at some point. I also know that my bestie is Clark's soulmate, so at least they will be meeting today. Stepping inside the building I could tell that Marinette just got more inspiration for designs. Marinette will never seize to amaze me with that mind of hers. The tour starts and we are shown to all of the office areas and stop on the floor that Lois and Clark work on. Alya starts asking questions as soon as we are in the offices. "Are you both still happily married?!" She asks gushing. "No, we realized we were better off as friends and would co-parent. We also aren't soulmates." Clark says. "WHAT?!" Alya screeches. Did she have to screech? I feel like my ears will bleed. What? Don't worry about it. Okay? I sigh internally watching as Clark comes over and introduces himself and Lois to Travis and I. I kindly introduce myself before noticing that Clark and Travis's marks are glowing. Huh, so they are in the same room without realizing it. Heh, this will be fun. I smirk and nudge Travis and motion to his and Clark's soul mate marks. Travis sputters before elbowing me out of embarrassment. I chuckle at his reaction and walk with the group to finish the tour. We board the bus to go back to Gotham City. I go to the park with Adrien and Marinette. "Emylee, can I call you mom instead?" Adrien asks. "Why Kitten?" I ask. "Well, I see you as a mother figure, and you have been the one taking care of me occasionally. Plus I would want you to adopt me if my father and his friend get arrested." Adrien says. I think about it for a second before nodding. "You can call me mom if you want to Kitten, but don't do it in front of Rossi. At least not right now." I say. He nods smiling and hugs me tightly. I hug him back while patting his back before pulling away and ruffling his hair. "When are we going to start?" Marinette asks. "Travis and I will go tonight with the both of you. Get them used to us four first. The others can patrol, but need to keep to the shadows and silent." I say. Marinette nods at my words with a smile. "Plus this might become our city at some point." I say with a shrug. Suddenly screams ring around us and I look to see the Riddler and his goons grabbing people. "Marinette, Adrien stay close to me." I shout at them as they were about to run off, probably to transform into their alter egos. They look at me with pleading eyes, and I shake my head gesturing around us. There is no way in or out now, and no hiding spaces that would be safe enough for us to transform. I pull my phone out and send my location to my cousins. Just in case I need them to come. Who? And what's going on? Riddler is at the park. WHAT?!?! Jezz don't shout! Sorry. Riddler notices Marinette and Adrien and starts to approach them, but I step in front of them. "Not another step Mr. Nygma." I say. He stops before smirking and walking towards me twirling his cane in his hand. "How about you answer my riddles, and I'll let you and your friends go?" He asks. I nod knowing if I didn't agree he would attack all three of us and kill us in the process. I answer all of his riddles with no problems, and halfway through one of his riddles I spot Batman. He comes over knocking the Riddler out as Blue Arrow comes over taking him away. Batman turns to me doing a once over before nodding and leaving for his cave. I take Adrien and Marinette back to the hotel and tell them to get some sleep before patrol tonight. They do as told and about four hours later they come to my room with Travis. We transform and go around stopping small crimes before stopping at Wayne Enterprises for a quick break. I hear a thud behind us and turn around to see Batman and Robin. "Well, Hello Robin and Batman." I say. Batman nods in greeting before glaring at me. "Who are you?" He asks. "I believe Miss Lamb has already mentioned me before Batman. I am Night Fury." I say. He tenses up before relaxing and nodding. "Yes, she has mentioned you. I was not expecting you to actually patrol my city." Batman says. "Hmm, well you are to expect the unexpected with me." I say. Batman just nods and moves closer towards the edge of the building. "When you are here, you go by my rules." Batman says. "Of course, we would expect you to do the same when in Paris. We just want to ask you for your assistance in the detective portion of this job. Miss Lamb, Firefly, Mr. McKoy, and I suspect someone of being Hawkmoth. But their is little evidence and what I do find is always either not a clue or leads to a dead end." I say. Batman nods and probably contemplates wether or not to help. "I will have to discuss this with the others. Come Robin, we need to continue patrol." Batman says before leaving with Robin. "That went better than anticipated." Travis says. "Yes, much better. Did you see how he tensed up when I mentioned my civilian self?" I ask. "Yes, it almost looked like he cares for you already." Marinette says. "It's too soon to say if he does or doesn't care. It would also be a little weird since I've never openly talked to him until this trip. All the other times I only talked to my cousins." I say. The other three nod at and we continue to patrol before going back to the hotel. I quickly transform back before going to sit down on the couch. I read for a bit before deciding it was finally time to rest.

Bruce's POV
I'm in the Batcave with the others going through what I've learned for the past couple of days and tonight. "I would like to learn more about this situation before I agree to anything." Dick and Blue say together. "I would like to learn more about the people first. And even try and see if they are trustworthy of our trust and time." Tim and Damian say. I nod agreeing with all four of them. Arrow and Purple didn't say anything but are probably wanting to see about hacking into the system to see if we can find anything through the media. Everyone eventually changes and goes to their rooms. I go to my room and get ready for bed. Goodnight soulmate of mine. Goodnight Bruce. I widen my eyes because they actually responded to me this time. Every other time they don't respond to my good nights. Then I let sleep take over because I had a long day today.
