Chapter 2: Arrival

Sunday: 9:PM

It took a while for Dad to get to his workplace, buy eventually, we arrived. Since I was still as exited as I was before we left, I hopped out of the car, but dad stopped me before I could make my first move.

"Now Lucas, dont go running around ok?" He asked, I Nodded the moment he finished his sentence. "Please Lucas... This place is super dangerous, you could get hurt!"

And after he told me that, We went into the facility.

The moment we stepped in, I could hear some music in the background, it sounded nice. And there were alot of busy people as well.

Before I could look around the entrence, I heard someone from down the hallway, "Kyle!" It said. I looked down the hallway to see someone in a white labcoat, approaching me and Dad.

"Hey boss..." My Dad said, welp, now I know who this guy was, it was my Dads boss. When he got to us,he looked down and saw me. "And whos this little fella?" He said. "Thats Lucas, hes my son." Dad responded.

"So youre the one who Kyle was talking about!" The boss said. 'This guy is way to energetic...' I thought to myself. "Why dont I show you around the place?" He said.

"Oh no you dont." Dad said, "Youre not showing my son around a dangerous pla-" I cut my Dad off. "Pleeeeease Dad?" I said, Dad looked at me, and reluctantly said: "Fine..."

I gave my dad a big smile and me and his boss went off to look around the place.

After we left the main entrance we went into a room with a ton of containment chambers. But, suprisingly, it wasnt robots or anything like that....

It looked like a ton of animals... extremely... weird animals.

"This is what our corporation is all about, little guy!" Boss said, "These weird animal like creatures are called Gootrixians!"

I couldn't help but stare at these chambers, there were so many weird creatures, so like the 13 year old I am, I went to look at one of the Chambers.

I first went to look at the ones that looked like colorful dogs. Some even had wings, and others stood up! "Those are what we call slime pups!" Boss informed me. "The normal one is a slime pup, the flying one is a slimepupdragon, and the one standing up is a slimehound." He said.

"Cool..." Thats all I could say, this was way cooler than any robot ive ever seen in my life! I then went to go look at the area that had these cats made out of ice cream.

"Those are called sprinkekits!" Boss said, "so far, the only kind of sprinklekit there is would be vanilla, were working on trying to make different flavors, so the only kind is vanilla for now."

There were so many cool gootrixians... ones made of plants, sharks, and way more!

I was amazed, I could see why dad worked here, who wouldnt wanna work with such cool beings! But little did I know that these beings will almost be the death of me...
