Chapter 5: Close Call.

Monday: 1:25AM

I decided that it would be to risky to go into the garden, as there could be many threats in the bushes.

As I entered the cafeteria, it turns out that nobody was there. I let out a sigh of relief, I could finally take a breather, and could stock up on food.

Turning the corner, I saw a bunch of food scattered on the tables, this place definetly was used before I got here. All of the food there had bites out of it, and there was what looked like coffee, spilt on the floor.

I decided screw it, and I would just make my own food in here, there were actually alot of cooking utensils, and ingredients, so I got to work on some hamburgers.

The stove worked suprisingly well, and I got to making the burgers, but then, as I was in the middle of cooking, I heard something smiffing, and then I froze.

'Oh no...' I thought, but before I had a chance to think, there it was, a Jammer, standing at the door to the kitchen. It looked right at me, with a devious look on its face.

We stood there, waiting for the other to make the first move, but then I had an idea.

The Jammet rushed at me, still with a divious look, and thats when I took action. "Wait!" I shouted, and suprisingly, the jammer listened to me.

The jammer stopped dead in its tracks, and looked right at me. "Lets make a deal..." I continued, "If I can make a good burger that you'll like, will you let me go...?" I said.

To my suprise the Jammer stood there, pondering if it should take the deal or not. "Eh... I am getting kinda hungry..." It said. Finally, the Jammer looked at me and said, "Alright, fine... but you only get one chance..."

Those words sent a shiver down my spine, "One chance..."

"S-sure! Go wait in the cafeteria, ill have the burger ready soon!" I said nervously. The Jammer then went into the cafeteria, and paitently waited at one of the tables.

I Immediately got to work, and was making sure that I didnt make a single mistake, otherwise that Jammer will kill me. But then, when things were already going bad.

I heard even MORE sniffing.

But this time, it wasnt a Jammer, it was just a harmless slime pup. The pup approached me, "Aww, what are you doing all by yourself?" I said to it, I then reached to pat its head, but then it did the unthinkable.

The thing jumped up, and grabbed the patty straight off the grill. "HEY!" I shouted, it then proceeded to run away, and I quickly gave chase.

Unfortunately, this thing was smart, and managed to loose me ahortly after I gave chase to it. "No! Come back! Please!" But no matter how much I yelled the pup ignored me.

I sighed, thinking things couldn't get any worse, but thats when the Jammer buted through the door. "Times up." It said.

The jammer scanned the room, and saw that the burger patty wasnt there anymore, and THEN saw I was halfway over the counter.

"So you lied to me..." the Jammer said, I didnt know what to do. "Wait! I can explain everything!" I shouted, but the jammer ignored me.

"The deals off pal..." It said, before running up to me, and pinned me against the wall. I let out a OOF, before starting right back at the jammer, it still had a mischievous look on its face.

"NO... PLEASE NO!" I screamed, the Jammer just laughed in response. "Cry for help, its not gonna save you now..." the Jammer taunted.

"Thats where your wrong..."

"The jammer turned around, and a mysterious figure was behind it, the mysterious figure then pulled out a katana, and sliced the jammer in two.

The jammer then turned into a pile of goo, and its headphones were also cut in two, looks like that thing wont come back ever again.

"Are you ok?" The mysterious figure asked me. "Yeah... I think so." I replied. The mysterious figure then removed its hoodie, only to reveal a Panther under it.

I backed up in shock, but it stopped me. "Do not be alarmed, I'm not like the rest." The panther said. "I was thrown out and used ny Nightcrawler, the leader of the Gootrixians." It continued.

"So youre a vigilante..." I said. "Percisely, my name is Lucy, Im a Gootrixian who still has control over herself." She said.

"M-my names Lucas..." I replied.

"Come with me, Lucas, I know a safe place where we can rest." Lucy said, with no other choice, I agreed to follow Lucy to where ever she wants to take me.
