Carina pov:

I was sitting in my office in the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital when I hear my door flung open and closing again.

I looked up from my desk and saw my daughter entering the room and throwing herself on the couch letting out an exhausting moan.

I laughed slightly.
"How was your day bambina?"
"Exhausting...I just want to run and then sleep....", she said whining.

"Mhh I know, but you need to stay here for at least two hours so I can finish work. But I can also try to call Maya and maybe she can pick you up.", I said to her rummaging through the papers on my desk.

"Nahh, it's fine I have to finish my homework anyways and I can still run when we'll come home can't I?", she asked me with kind of puppy eyes that I couldn't resist.

"Did you ate?", I asked her sternly and suddenly looked up from my desk to look in her hazelnut brown eyes.

"Mama don't worry I ate enough at school to run a marathon!", she said joking but I was worried about my daughter.

The last few months she had become a very picky and slow eater and since she's a little girl I was always a little bit worried about her body because she was genetically very skinny and I wasn't sure if I was right but since she's training a lot for running, dancing and also figure skating, she also became thinner I guess. I can't do a lot because she won't open up so I just try to encourage her and love her every single moment.

"Okay bambina than you can go for a run."
She gave me her brightest smile and started her homework when my pager went off and I had to leave to help my patients.

*2 hours later*

Still Carinas pov:
When all of my work was done I headed back to my office and when I opened the door my beautiful daughter was peacefully asleep on the couch with her laptop on her tummy.

I picked up my jacket from my chair and threw it on her. She opened her eyes and gave me a bad but funny stare and we both laughed about it.

"Bambina, lets go home!"
She was glad to go home and I couldn't blame her. Nearly everyday she has to stay in the hospital with me after she finished school and it's not a funny place to grow up.

I'm so glad to have Maya and she often has time for my daughter to directly pick her up after school and head home with her.

"I'm ready to go!", she said to me and we walked out of my office and straight to the parking lot where we got into my car.

Only 5 minutes on our way I quickly glanced over to my daughter and realized that she was fast asleep. That day really finished her I thought to myself.

The hospital was only a 10 minute drive to Maya's and mine apartment and so we soon arrived. Maya moved in with me about a month ago and I was glad that my 17teen year old daughter was totally fine with it and saw Maya as kind of a mom.

I parked the car and slowly tapped the shoulder next to me.
"I'M AWAKE, I'M AWAKE!".
I had to laugh about the way she woke up and caressed her pale looking cheek.
"You look pale bambina.", I informed her.
"That's because I need to go on a run now.", she exclaimed.

She got changed in her room and was ready to leave when the front door flung open.
Skylar nearly bumped into Maya. (a/n: is the name okay for everyone?😅)

"Woah Skylar slow down!", I shouted from a little behind.
"I'm sorry Maya. I just need to run now!", she said a bit shyly.
"No worries Sky, have fun!", my beautiful girlfriend said to my teenage daughter.
"Bambina! Not longer than 40 minutes okay? Then it's time for dinner!", I said to her before she left our apartment.

The door got closed and I jumped happily but also exhausted in Mayas embrace.
"Hi beautiful! How was your day?", she asked me in her super hot voice that gave me goosebumps.

I sighed and let me fall a little further in her arms to just rest on her warm body.
"What's going on in that beautiful mind?", she asked me a bit worried.

"Ugh Maya i'm just so worried about Sky and worrying makes me sad and sadness drains me out....", I let it all out and some tears rolled down my cheeks.

Maya held me tight and we sat down on the couch.
"Why are you so worried beautiful? You've never told me you are?!", she asked me calm.

"She is so skinny Maya and, and she became such a picky eater and i just don't know what to do...", I slightly sobbed in her chest.

"Why don't you have a little talk after dinner with her?", Maya said calm as always but knowing that I was right about what i've just said. I just nodded and enjoyed her arms around my body.

Some time passed by and Maya and I decided to cook dinner.
Cooking something simple, we decided to make chicken with vegetables and a sauce.

Then the front door flung open and I saw my daughter covered in sweat.

"I'm just gonna head to the shower mom okay?", she told me out of breath.
"Hurry up Skylar!", I shouted after her.

Not only 10 minutes later Sky came down already wearing her pajamas.
She sat down on the dinner table with us and Maya got up to get her a glass of water. (she's literally the perfect woman and i'd be dead without her)

"Please drink it Sky!", Maya said firmly and then I just realized how pale my daughter was.
I quickly put the back of my hand on her forehead but she was fine.

"Mom!", she said to me annoyed.
"Sorry Bambina I was just worried because you look pale and sweaty at the same time. But it seems to be okay.", I encouraged her but probably I was the one who needed encouraging.

"I'm fine!", she huffed and then slowly started to eat.
"Mom stop staring at me!", she said to me and then I realized that she was right.

I was staring at her to make sure she'll eat.
I mumbled a slight sorry and focused on my own food and of course my beautiful Maya.
After we finished our dinner I cleared the table but Skylar was still eating.

"Mom I'm full", she stated and I walked over to her to take her plate.
I walked back to the kitchen where Maya washed the dishes and quickly showed her Skylars plate.

Later in the evening

"Bambina, can we talk?", I asked Skyler after I opened the door to her room where she was sitting on her fluffy bed.
"Sure."

I walked over to her and sat down on the end of her bed. She closed her journal and looked up at me.

"What is happening to my little bella at the moment?"

"What do you mean mama?"

"You're struggling. I'm not sure with what but I don't want you to hurt yourself no matter in what way! I'm here to talk. Maya is here to talk. We just-"

"Mom! I'm fine I swear!", she laughed slightly.
"I'm a teenager and these things are normal I guess.", she shrugged her shoulders.

"Skylar, starving yourself and hardcore working out is not healthy and not normal and I'm keeping an eye on it."

The only respond I got for my lecture was an eye roll which probably made me a bit angry.
"Drop that attitude Skylar!", I said kinda pissed and walked out of her room.
