~Ems' POV~

"Eddie hey Eddie wake up!!!" I yelled in Eddie's face, nearly getting hit in the head with his head as he shot up.

"It's gig day!" I yelled when he was fully sat up. I got up onto his bed and started jumping up and down. "I'm so excited to hear you guys play!"

I couldn't help it, the excitement was killing me. I used to watch Eds' old band all the time. I missed seeing Eddie on a stage. He really comes to life up there.

"Okay okay I'm excited to but this is an awful way to wake up" Eddie chuckled as he rubbed his eyes. I jumped down off of the bed and sat next to Eddie.

"Are you excited to watch Bliss perform?" I asked leaning close to him, a giant smile plastered on my face, slightly bouncing myself up and down. He smiled back at me.

"Of course I'm excited, I'm always excited to hear you sing, bunny."

That made me freeze instantly. "What did you just call me?" I asked him. He looked at me and his eyes widened as he realized what he said.

"Oh my gosh Ems, I'm so sorry, I didn't even realize what I was saying" he stuttered, trying to explain himself.

"You haven't called me that in years, and even when you did before, I always thought you were joking."

~Years ago, before Beck; 3rd Person POV~

"Eddie come on! We're going to be late for the meet up!" Emelia yelled, running towards the beach.

Eddie chuckled and shook his head, running after her. When they reached the sand, Emelia stopped suddenly.

"There's a lot more people here than I thought there would be" Emelia whispered, turning to Eddie.

"Come on, we got this" he reassured her with a smile. "Let's go grab some boards and show these people how it's done."

She smiled at Eddie and they walked over to the hut together. They rented their boards and hit the water. Emelia hadn't surfed in front of anyone other than Eddie before this. Her nerves felt shot by the time she saw her first wave. She went for it, and she took it.

"Ems! That was incredibly awesome!" Eddie yelled at her, making her blush. After a few hours of surfing, they headed to the cookout down the beach. most people from the surfing meet up had stayed for it, and Emelia and Eddie were excited to make new friends.

When they got there, they noticed a couple who didn't look like they had been surfing. Emelia and Eddie couldn't help but observe them and laugh about the little things they did.

"Oh my dearest Edward, isn't this sand just the most quaint thing you've seen today" Emelia joked in a posh accent.

"Quite, it is absolutely marvelous" Eddie returned in a similar accent. They both burst into a fit of laughter. The couple approached them after a while.

"Hello there" the man said to them. "I am Jacques and this is my bunny Constance." The woman with him, who was now known as Constance, held out her hand for them to shake. Eddie brought it up to his mouth and kissed it gently. Emelia had to hold her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing.

"A pleasure, Jacques. I am Edward" Eddie introduced himself. The man smiled at him and turned to Emelia.

"And who is your little bunny here?" he asked, taking Emelia's hand and kissing it. Eddie went along with it and introduced his little bunny.

After about 30 minutes, the two had to leave or they would burst into laughter in the couple's face. As soon as the truck doors closed, laughter filled the air.

"I didn't think people like that actually existed!" Emelia exclaimed in the middle of their laughter. Eddie nodded his head. "I know, also what the heck were they doing here?!" he said, laughter dying down.

"They were absolutely ridiculous" Emelia said, laying her head back on the seat.

"There was one thing I liked about them though, the man calling his partner 'bunny,' I thought that was cute" Eddie said, putting the keys in the ignition of the truck.

Emelia lifted her head and smiled towards Eddie. "Yeah, I think I agree with you there. It was really cute."

"I think I'll call my partner bunny one day. But I'm only going to call my one true love that. That nickname doesn't just go to anyone" Eddie chuckled lowly as he spoke. He turned to the road to drive back to the apartment.

"I think that's really cute, Eds. Maybe you can help me come up with a nickname for my future partner" Emelia said, leaning her head against the window, already starting to feel the exhaustion from the beach day.

"I'll help you with anything you need, bunny" Eddie said with a smile. Emelia smiled back at him.

He never did call Beck 'bunny.'

~Present Day; Ems' POV~

I smiled at him for a moment before standing up from the bed.

"I'm going to go get ready for the day, you should to" I said before quickly leaving. I closed the door behind me and leaned against it for a moment, my mind racing. Was he serious in the past? How long has he been in love with me?

I shook the thoughts out of my head and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. After we both had gotten ready for the gig, we headed to the venue together in Eddie's truck, neither of us mentioning what was said earlier.

When we arrived, we were greeted by some fans.

"Oh my gosh, Ems I think you are just so cool! Will you sign this for me?" a girl yelled. I smiled and happily signed it for her. "Make sure to keep an eye out for an album! Coming in the next year or so!" I yelled at the group of fans before walking inside, them squealing in response. Eddie and I laughed at that, both of us happy to see so much support.

"Okay Eds, I have to go get changed. You go find the guys. We'll meet up in the backstage room, got it?" I asked. He smiled at me and nodded his head. "You got it" he said to me. I smiled and hugged him, slightly catching him off guard. After a second he hugged me back, and then we went to our duties.

After changing into my stage attire, I looked at myself in the mirror. Tonight I was just wearing jean shorts and a Soundgarden t-shirt. I smiled at my simple appearance and headed to the room everyone would be in.

"M&M!" Chris yelled when I walked in. I laughed at him and walked over to him. I threw my body on his as he sat on the couch, earning a laugh from him. I hugged him a moment before getting up and walking to an empty seat.

"I'd like to make a toast" I announced after being handed a beer bottle. "To Mookie Blaylock's first real big gig. I'm so freaking proud of you boys, and I'm honored to share the stage with you" I said with a smile. My toast earned a hearty agreement from everyone in the room. My eyes locked onto Eddie's, him smiling brightly. I blushed after looking at him for a moment longer than I should have.

"Alright guys, let's freaking do this!" River yelled while standing up. D, Mike and I stood up and headed to the stage area.

"Let's make fuckin history!" I yelled at my bandmates before we ran out onto the stage.
