Chapter 17: What Happened

"GWINAM!!!!"

Gyeongsu's POV:

I ran to Gwinam who is all bloody and beaten up. Once I am near him, I am now on my knees and put my hand underneath his head.

"Gwinam, who did this to you?" I asked him on the verge of breaking down. "I don't know who they are, but they told me they will hurt those who are close to Joonyeong unless he breaks up with Wujin and takes over the family business."

My heart dropped knowing what Gwinam is talking about. "I know who it is, but let's take you to the hospital so we can get you checked up." I told him and he nod his head. Great we have to take another trip to the hospital.

Time Skip

I am sitting next to Gwinam who is laying down on the bed. Nothing major happened to him except he has a broken rib. Looks like he won't be playing basketball for a while. "Hey since you already figured out who did this to me, mind telling me who did it?" He asked me and as I was going to answer his question, we heard the door open and our friends plus Nayeon came in with worried expressions.

"Gwinam, what the hell happened to you?" Suhyeok asked him and my baby told them everything. Next thing I knew my friends and I saw Joonyeong running out the room and Wujin chased after him.

Wujin's POV:

I chased after Joonyeong after Gwinam told us what happened to him. I found him at the end of the hall crying. I sat next him putting my arm over his shoulder bringing him closer to him.

"Joonyeong, it is not your fault what happened to Gwinam. Whoever did this to him does not want you happy and wants revenge for putting Mr.Lee in prison. I told him and he then shouted, "MY PARENTS DID THIS TO HIM! THEY FIGURED OUT WE ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP AND PROBABLY FIGURED OUT THAT MR.LEE IS IN PRISON! SO YES, IT IS MY FAULT THAT THIS HAPPENED TO GWINAM! THEY WON'T STOP UNLESS WE BROKE UP AND I TAKE OVER THE BUSINESS!" Joonyeong started sobbing and my heart broke.

Joonyeong deserves to be happy after everything he is going through. "Baby, we will figure this out. We did it when Mr.Lee was sent to prison. I don't want us to end our relationship just to impress your so called parents." I said and Joonyeong started to calm down. "I just don't want you guys to get hurt." Joonyeong whispered and I told him everything will be fine as long as we work as a team.

I will do anything to protect my precious baby Joonyeong, even if it means I hurt myself.

A few days later

Hyoryung's POV:

It's been a few days since Gwinam was discharged from the hospital and Joonyeong telling us it was his parents who hurt Gwinam. So we came up with a plan that you guys will figure out later.

Right now, I am at a cafe waiting for Joonyeong and his parents to show up. A waiter by the name of Kim Junmyeon (no not from exo) hands me my coffee who is also Hanwool's boyfriend. I saw them kissing before we started the operation, do t tell them what I saw.

He is in undercover since he works with Jaeik and discovered that Joonyeong's parents have done shady stuff. I heard the door open and Joonyeong and his parents arrived. I waved at them and they came to the table I am sitting at. "Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend Seo Hyoryung. Hyoryung, these are my parents Oh Daejung and Oh Chaeyong." I can tell Joonyeong cringed when he introduced me as his girlfriend to his parents.

"It's nice to meet you Hyoryung. It's nice that Joonyeong broke up with Wujin and is no longer in that phase," and just like that, I already hate Chaeyong and Daejung with a passion.

"So Hyoryung, you go to the same school as Joonyeong?" Daejung asked me and I told him I do and we are in the same grade. A few minutes later, Junmyeon brought Joonyeong, Chaeyong, and Daejung's order and they thanked him. We continued the conversation until I heard Jaeik telling me to ask them about their business from the earpiece I am wearing.

"So Daejung and Chaeyong, how is everything with your business?" They tensed up when I asked them about their business. "Um, our business is doing great. Especially when Joonyeong is going to take over the business soon since his older brother decided to go against us." Daejung answered and I hate them even more.

"Have you heard what happened to our classmate Yoon Gwinam?" Joonyeong asked his parents and they tensed up even more. They told us they have heard about it and I got the cue to tell them everything.

"Daejung and Chaeyong, you are the reason why Gwinam got hurt in the first place and will continue to hurt our friends unless Joonyeong breaks up with Wujin and takes over the business. On top of that, you have stolen billions of dollars no just from other businesses you partnered up with, but from your own business too.

You even stolen products from other companies to call it your own product to earn money since you keep losing money. You even paid Nayeon to bully your own son even though she did not want to and once you doing out she got in trouble, you forced her to tell people she did it for attention when in reality, she did something you forced her to do " we heard the door open to see Jaeik coming towards us from the entrance and Junmyeon from the front counter, pulled out their handcuffs, and Jaeik said
