Chapter 16

Author's POV:

"Eren, read your messages. I sent you a message and come-" Annie quickly removed Mikasa's phone from her ear. She heard shouting. "Eren! Do not throw your phone out of the window!" That was Armin's voice.

Where are they? Eren wants to throw his phone out of the window? Is he crazy?

"Hello? Anyone there?" Annie said again. "Nooo! Jean threw his phone! But why can't I?“ What? Both of Annie's eyebrows were raised.

"Eren are you drunk?" Annie asked through the phone. "Armeen! My phone is on airplane mode! It can fly so no worries!" Airplane mode?

"If your phone is on airplane mode, you can't call or answers people call, dumbass" Annie sighed. Looks like Eren was also drunk. Oh well.

Annie ended the call. She sighed again. How was she supposed to took Mikasa to her own car? She was bigger than her.

"Annieee~" Mikasa called for her in a sing-song typed of voice. "Yes, Mika, what's up?" Annie looked down at her who was laying down and Mikasa smile widely. "Come lay with me!" Mikasa stood up and grabbed Annie's neck using her arms and pulled her down.

"Mika!" Annie groaned after her head accidentally hit Mikasa's jaw. "Owww! Annie, that hurts!" Mikasa cried. She used one hand and rub on her jaw. "That's because you pulled me, you idiot"

Annie sighed. "Let go of me, Mika" She felt Mikasa shook her head. She yelped when Mikasa brought her head to her chest.

"Hehe, it's comfortable, right?" Mikasa chuckled and played with her hair. Annie had wide eyes and red face when she finally realized where the fuck was her head at.

"Mika! Let go of me!" Annie tried to move but Mikasa's hands forced her down even more. Annie gulped, she was in-between Mikasa's breast! She panicked and tried to move again, but Mikasa's hand was strong.

"Nope! Yer not going anywhere! Yer stay wit me, here" Mikasa then turned both of them to the side so that she was spooning Annie's head. She didn't hug her head too tight anymore, she just hug them to make sure Annie didn't escape.

"Mika, c-can you at least let me call Bertholdt?" Annie mentally slapped herself when she stuttered. It's very rare of her to stutter! She then slapped Mikasa's back pretty loudly when she felt Mikasa shook her head.

"Owwieee! Annie! That hurts!" Mikasa let go of Annie's head and arched her back. Annie quickly sat up and looked down at Mikasa. Annie swallowed.

"You don't love me! You hurted me a lot!" Mikasa cried. Annie raising both eyebrows in concern when she saw tears slipping down her eyes. "Mikasa? Are you really crying?" Annie asked.

Mikasa didn't answer. She let out a sob and rubbed both of her eyes. "You don't love me!" Mikasa repeated.

Annie sighed. She layed down next to Mikasa and grabbed one of her hands. Mikasa fought back and didn't let Annie touch her.

"Don't touch...me! You don't love me!" Mikasa turned to the other side, not facing Annie. She sighed again. "Mika, I just slapped your back, it's not a big deal"

"No! Yer had hurted me before!" Mikasa immediately answer. Annie raised both eyebrows in shock. She had hurted her before?

"Is it about when I kicked you that one time because you took my phone?" Mikasa shook her head. Annie frowned. "You don't love me.." Mikasa said quietly but Annie managed to hear it. "Why you keep repeating the same thing?"

"Because it'sss true! You don't love me! You love him! That blonde boy!" Mikasa continued crying. "Wait, what? Are you talking about Armin?" She quickly asked. Mikasa wipes her tear off her face and remained silent.

"Mika?" Annie called her name but she didn't respond. What's up with her? She went to Mikasa and shook her body.

No respond.

"O-oi, Mikasa!" Annie shouted. Finally, Mikasa groaned and turned to look at her. She smiled, and then she snored.

Annie had a lot of questions in her head. Why Mikasa keep repeating the same thing? And what was the reason Mikasa cried? And what the fuck just happened?

She shook her head and grabbed her phone. She called Bertholdt and waited for him to answer the call.

She looked down at Mikasa who was sleeping. She sighed. She looked so peaceful while sleeping.

She groaned when Bertholdt didn't answer her. She called Bertholdt again, but he still didn't answer her. She tried calling Reiner, but he didn't answer her either.

"Are they already asleep? Come on now!" She groaned. She called Reiner again and finally, finally, he answered the phone.

"What, Annie? Why you keep calling both of us? We're busy" Annie rolled her eyes. Busy? Annie chuckled. Busy in the middle of the night only meant one thing.

"Come here and help me, I already sent you the location" Annie ordered. "Like I said, we're-"

"Your cousin, Gabi, and Bertholdt's little brother, Udo, are here. They said they ran from home" A lied. But she knows she succeeded because Reiner didn't say anything, even Bertholdt.

"They what?!" That was definitely Bertholdt's voice. "You heard me" Annie replied. "We will be there, bye" Bertholdt said and they ended the call.

Annie chuckled. Bertholdt was really angry- wait. "They said they're busy? They are together now? Aren't they supposed to be at their respective houses.." Annie shook her head.

Maybe Bertholdt went to Reiner's house and sleep at his house tonight. Or maybe the other way round.

She layed besides Mikasa and waited for them to come by the lake.
