Chapter 10

Author's POV:

"Eh? Annie? Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be with Armin?"
Mikasa asked whenever Annie approached her.
"Mikasa, you're my best friend. Doesn't mean if I have a boyfriend, I can't be with you anymore"
Annie rolled her eyes, Mikasa chuckled.
"I just wants to walk with you to your class"
Mikasa glanced down at her. Really? She meant that?

"That's odd"
Mikasa replied and she heard Annie chuckles.
"By the way, Mikasa, you want to have lunch with me after this class? Armin says he wants to meet Eren and I don't want to disturb them"
That's...odd. Mikasa looked at her and frowned. What?

"W..why he wants to meet Eren?"
Annie shrugged. Oh, seems like Annie don't know why. Interesting reaction.

"Mika, do you like girls?"
Annie suddenly asked, glancing up at Mikasa. Mikasa remained silent as she thinks for an answer.

Why would she needs to think for an answer? It's an easy question! Truth be told, Mikasa was scared.

Mikasa was scared if she answers yes, Annie will leave her. She's scared if she answers yes, Annie would distance herself from her.

"Why you asked?"
That's the only thing she managed to say.
"We've been friends for a long time, Mikasa. I need to know about you more"
Annie answered. Mikasa sighed and looked down at her.

"Yes.."
Mikasa whispered as she looked at Annie's face, waiting for some sort of reaction from her. She only saw her nodding with a little smile on her face. Weird.

"Do you like flowers? If yes, what kind?"
Another sudden question came out from her mouth.
"Calla Lilies"
Mikasa answered and Annie nodded.
"Well, we already arrived at your class. Bye, Mika. See you at lunch"
Annie waved at her and she waved back as she entered the class.

What's up with her? Asking sudden questions like that. That's weird. That was very weird considering her cold personality who doesn't wants to know about people suddenly wants to know about people.

She was acting really weird.

"Hey, Mika! Here"
Mikasa saw Annie's hand waving at her and she ran at her.
"Hey, An- oh...thanks"
Annie handed Mikasa a cup of coffee with a laugh.
"So, about you liking Calla Lilies, can I know why Calla Lilies is your favourite flower, Mrs.Ackerman?"
Mikasa frowned and smiled. Mrs.Ackerman? If she likes to call her that, then okay.

"Calla Lilies is associated with faith and purity"
Mikasa began and noticed Annie writing. Was she writing what she just said?
"Calla lilies are also often associated with sympathy and rebirth, making them a popular flower at sympathy occasions"
Annie nodded slowly and made a hand gesture, asking her to continue.

"These beauties grow in full to partial sunlight and should be planted in spring to bloom in late summer"
Mikasa smiled as she explains about Calla Lilies, her favourite flower.
"With continued care, they can grow up to 2 feet long! Once cut, Calla Lilies can last 2 weeks in a vase"
Annie smiled at her and continued to write that down.

"Calla Lilies is your only favourite flower?"
Annie asked. Mikasa shook her head.
"Carnations is also my favourite flower"
Annie frowned and raised an eyebrow after. Mikasa chuckled.

"Yes, Carnations is a flower. A pink flower. Actually, Carnations come in 3 different types"
Mikasa smiled at her and took a sip of her coffee that Annie bought for her.
"Carnations can have different meanings depending on their colors"
Mikasa continues. Annie nodded and write that down. Weird. Why would she wrote that down?

"A pink Carnation symbolizes motherly love. A white Carnation means good luck and yellow Carnation means disappointment, etc"
Annie quickly wrote that down. Mikasa looked at her, confused.
"Hold up, Annie. Why did you wrote that down?"
Annie ignored her and continues to write what Mikasa said down.

"I just wanted to wrote that down. Is it bad for me to know what kind of flowers you like?"
Mikasa shook her head and felt her face heat up when Annie moved closer to her.
"Exactly"
She backed up and continues to write something on her book. Weird.

"You like Ferrero Rocher, right?"
Annie asked and Mikasa nodded.
"Annie, this is getting weird. Why you kept asking me about what I like?"
Annie laughed uncontrollably right after Mikasa asked. Mikasa frowned at her. She was acting strange!

Wait...could it be a possibility that Annie wants to take her out?! Giving her flowers, chocolates, take her on nice dates to nice restaurants. Go watch movies together. It really could be a possibi- wait...

Annie has a boyfriend. Right. How can she forgot? Annie has a boyfriend! She has no chance with her!

"I asked Armin yesterday what he liked and he kept it a secret for stupid reasons. He said, if I want to know about him, I should ask you because whatever flower you like, he also likes that flower!"
Yup, it's confirmed that they're dating. What was Mikasa thinking?! She thought Annie would take her on a date just because she asked her what her favourite flowers were?! Is she well?!

"Oh, so that's mean, Armin also likes Calla Lilies and Carnations?"
Mikasa asked and Annie shrugged.
"Maybe. But I will take him on a date tonight! That's why I asked you! Thanks, Mikasa"
Mikasa smiled at her. She was not sure how to react. Showing what she felt was too much.

"Hey, send me pictures of you and Armin later, okay, Mrs.Arlert?"
Mikasa gently teased her and Annie laughed.
"Wait, did you just called me Mrs.Arlert?"
Annie asked as she looked seriously at Mikasa with an unbelievable smile. Mikasa shrugged and gave her a wink.

Mikasa saw pink color dusted her cheeks. She really is in love with him. Well, what can she do?

She doesn't want to ruin their relationship but at the same time, she wants Annie all to herself. Oh well, she fell for the wrong person.
