Sitting in class reminded me of what occured on the first day of school. How coldly i treated jungwon. My cheeks flushed as embarrassment and realisation hit me. He must think im some kind of a psychopath. Distant and cold then somehow kind and friendly.

I buried my face in my palms to hide my reddened cheeks. How am i suppose to face him today? How should i treat him today? Should i ignore him? Be distant again? But we made so much progress yesterday and i want to ease Yujin's mind.

"Good morning, Jisu!" An all too familiar voice calls out to me.

I quickly removed my hands and place them on my lap. Nodding my head in his direction.

"What? So you gonna treat me differently in school? Are we gonna pretend yesterday didn't happen or?"

"Why are you saying it like that?! People are gonna misunderstand." He made it sound like we did something yesterday. My face flushed yet again at the thought of him thinking im psychotic.

"Well! You seem to be treating me differently too!" i retorted

"how?"

"You talk like a bad boy in school, but act all shy shy shy yesterday."

"You caught me at a bad timing, okay! I lost my dog for goodness sake, i cant play the bad boy card when my dog was literally missing." He responded, raising both hands in surrender.

"So which facade you gonna play today, huh? Bad boy or shy boy?"

"Any boy you want" he says propping his head on his hand, eyes staring intently at me.

I was taken aback yet again. My capillaries popping in my cheeks, a red hue forming in its place. For some reason that remark made my heart skip a beat... in a good way.

Before i could continue our lighthearted bickering, our teacher came in and addressed the class.

"This may be our 3rd week of school but im expecting a lot from this class, okay. Your grades last year was the best across the cohort and i would like for this standard to remain or improve." Mr Chan's eyes quickly darts at the students who seem to look complacent.

"With that, lets start lesson proper today. Take out your editing book and do page 15 to 22, exercise 15 to 22. I expect this to be done in 15 minutes." He says as he prepared a timer.

For the rest of the lesson, the whole class remained focus on the task given.

"Okay, thank you for staying focused in class today. Enjoy your lunch." Mr Chan bids his farewell for the day.

"Lets go have lunch together." Jungwon asked as he swings his bag over hit shoulder

"I normally don't eat lunch." i replied still packing my bag.

"Why not?" he questioned

I took some time to think through my answer. How should i phrase it nicely to Jungwon that i was being bullied?

"There's a lot of things new students like you don't understand." i sighed.

"Jungwon-ah, do you want to eat lunch with us again?" The voice of the devil interrupted before Jungwon could answer me.

Saereon and her clique crowded his table. I took it as my cue to leave. Leaving Jungwon there with them, I knew the risk all too well. His opinion of me could very well change after hanging out with them. I mentally prepared myself for a change of attitude towards me.

My mind flashed to when Saereon and I were friends. It was in middle school, when i came in halfway through the school year. She was my buddy and showed me around, helped me get comfortable in a new environment. We became quite close after that.
