"Now I'm convinced someone is trying to frame you" I say
"Ok let's think this through, is there anyone who would profit from Narcissa's death" asked a worried Clint
"I mean all of us would get new instruments so all of us I guess" Natasha says
"Ok, does anyone in your gang have any knowledge of muggle ammunition let alone know how to use a gun" I ask hoping to get a lead
"No, none of them do they were very confused when they saw me carrying one" she said
"Why don't you rest upstairs you can use my room" I tell her. After she is out of earshot Clint and I begin our conversation
"I'll get you the list of band members and then you can go and interrogate because one of us should be here" he said
"I agree they are going to want an update, do you mind if I take a nap while you're searching" I asked
"No not at all go ahead I can rest when you're out. I'll wake you up when I find something" he assures me.
Three hours later....
"Hey wake up" I hear a voice, I get up from my nap on the couch and see that Clint has the list: Dennis Creevey (Guitarist) , Hannah Abbott (Pianist) , Justin Flinch-Fletchley (Drummer) and Natasha the singer.
Before I apparated to the three broomsticks I tell Clint
"Please go easy on Draco and when they ask for a update try and avoid the fact that Natasha was found with the murder weapon"
"Of course" was his reply.
I didn't know it at the time why this case was so important for me to solve (well aside the fact that the crime scene was my house) but I will realize soon enough.
The Three Broomsticks, Hogsmeade
I get to 'The Three Broomsticks' and see the band waiting for Natasha I go up to them and say
"Hello there, my name is Hermione Zabini, I'm a friend of Natasha's"
"Yeah where is she, we need to start" asked an impatient Justin
"I'm afraid she won't be here today" I tell them
"Is she alright?" asked a worried Hannah
"Yes she is perfectly fine but there was a homicide that occurred and we think that someone is trying to frame her for the murder of Mrs. Malfoy, So please if you want to bring the killer to justice and help Natasha I suggest you all answer my questions truthfully and to the best of your ability" they all nodded
After I was done with the questions I say "wonderful, thank you for your time. Merry Christmas"
After 2 hours of interrogation I learnt that none of them knew enough to murder Narcissa although I also found out that Justin's mother was in the hospital so he was the only one desperate enough to need the money maybe he hired someone to kill her so far Justin was our only lead I still don't think he killed Narcissa but he's still a lead just when I was going to head out of the three broomsticks I bump into a waiter and there butter beer all over my sweater
"I'm so sorry" I hear a girl say she was 25 maybe 26 and had chocolate brown hair and grey eyes and pale skin
"It's ok I didn't see where I was going either" I assure her
"I see you didn't order anything" she says
"Oh I'm just here for questioning murder case just came up, Hermione Zabini by the way" I introduce myself
"Victoria Johnson, murder case tell me more" she asks eagerly
"I'm sorry it's all confidential" I tell her
"Oh, no problem I understand, let me get that for you" she says disappointed and takes out her wand to clean my sweater and gives me a Frizzing Wizz bee and says
"Hope you solve that case of yours, Merry Christmas" and goes to work
"Thank you, Merry Christmas" I say and leave there was just something familiar about that Victoria I couldn't put my finger on.
Before I apparated home I bought gifts for Papa, Tori, Clint, Nat, Daphne, Theo and Draco. I mean murder or not it's still Christmas and with that thought in mind I apparated home.
Just then it strikes me papa hadn't written to us yet and he would definitely write today how am I supposed to tell him that Narcissa was murdered in our house?
The Zabini Manor, London
Clint POV
I get up from my nap and freshen up have a nice cup of coffee and make my gifts a new addition to the presents under the tree in the living room, I mean murder or not it's still Christmas I saw that Blaise, Draco, Astoria and Nat had already kept their gifts under the tree. Just then Theo and Daphne come through the floo and wish me a Merry Christmas and keep their presents as well.
After we settle in Draco, Blaise, Nat and Astoria come downstairs all dressed up
"Where's Hermione" asks Draco
"She's out investigating a new lead apparently Narcissa donated 100 galleons to a band so we are looking at who most probably profited from the money" I tell him trying my best to keep him off Nat's tail
"Doesn't Natasha have a band?" he said trying to hide his accusation but he wasn't doing a good job at it
"Yes I do and it was my band but none of my members know anything about guns or even know to use one" she clarifies
"All except you" he says and tries to approach her but Blaise holds him back and I block Natasha from him
"Hey Man, do you honestly think she would do that" I ask him
"Sorry, I'm just frustrated" he says apologizing
"Well you don't have to be we got a lead" I hear a voice I know too well.
