The Greengrass Residence, London
Hermione's POV
With a crack we were at the Greengrass residence. I rang the bell the bell and there they stood Daphne and Astoria Greengrass I hugged Astoria while Marcus gave Daphne a passionate kiss on the lips
"Get a room you two" says Tori
I give out a small chuckle and say "I take it no one else has arrived"
"How did you know that" asks Daphne surprised
"Well, you just let him kiss you" I answer
The couple shakes their head at this just then we hear the doorbell and I see a familiar face with spiked blonde hair, grey eyes and pale skin the one and only Draco Malfoy followed by Theodore Nott the almond skinned 22 year old with Light Brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. We all greet each other hugs were shared and then Draco came up and I decided to play with him
"Hello Draco you look handsome as ever" a shocked Draco Malfoy replies
"You just said my name"
"What else am I to call you if not your name"
We talked for hours then the topic of New York came up "So what is it like working with MACUSA" asked Theo
"Not that different compared to being an Auror here but their lingo is a little hard at first but at this point we've gotten used to it" says Marcus
"Yeah" I agree "and for some reason they like to blend in with muggles"
"What!?" they all say in disbelief.
I look at the time and see that its 7:50 remembering my meeting with Clint I make up an excuse
"Well I'm knackered and I would like to stay awake for the rest of the night so anyone wants coffee, I'm going to get some"
"Oh don't leave I can make it at home" says Daphne
"I'd rather not try your coffee and besides it's no problem really"
"Well I'll like a cappuccino if they have one" says Theo
"I'll take a latte" says Astoria."
"Anything else" I ask
"They shake their heads
"Ok I'll be back" and with a crack I leave to muggle London.
A Café in Muggle London
Clint Rogers POV
I wait at the café for Hermione I was just about to text her when I see her enter "Hey" I simply say
"Hi, sorry I'm a little late" she replies back
"Oh no problem" we sit down at a table for two and the waiter approaches us we both order a frappe and the waiter leaves "so" I say to start conversation
"So what"
"So what are you doing back in London"
She takes a deep breath and says " Look I'm not back cause I feel like it, my mother she's sick and might not make it so me and Marcus decided to come back" she says almost in tears
"Oh Hermione, I'm so sorry. You could have told me you know I would have understood"
"I know you would have It's just It's been a rough couple of days and I just simply forgot"
"It's ok, so what excuse did you make this time" I ask hoping to lighten the mood
"Oh I was at Astoria's place with all my friend I made an excuse of needing coffee. So how's our weekend in London? Isn't it her first time here"
"Yeah it is and since its her first i want to show her all the tourist places Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben and all that. Anyways I should get back to Natasha and don't forget your coffee"
"Oh yeah I should probably go too um.. I'll call you tonight we can talk then, bye" We share a hug and leave. I feel quite relieved that she is alright.
The Greengrass Residence, London
Hermione's POV
I get back to the house with my unfinished frappe, Theo's cappuccino and Astoria's latte. I give them their coffee's that's when Tori pulls me aside
Astoria's POV
I take Hermione up to my bedroom shut the door and say "Ok so where were you really. I know you went to the coffee shop clearly but what happened there who did you meet?" I ask
"Whoa slow down and here I thought I was the detective"
I give her the 'tell me now look'
"Oh alright" she says giving up "I have a partner"
"WHAT!!! Like a boyfriend partner" I scream
"shh they might hear you and no I work with him we take up cases together"
"Sorry but are you sure he's not your boyfriend." I had so many questions
"No he's not my boyfriend if I had a boyfriend I would have told you, I forgot to tell him I was in London so I explained mama's situation to him"
"Tell me more" I ask eagerly
"His name is Clint, He has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, We meet 8 months ago at work he's a detective as well and we work together at the prescient and Marcus doesn't know about this so you better zip your lips"
"Why doesn't Marcus know?" I ask
"Are you serious if he found out that I work with a guy he would freak" she finishes
"Ok I won't tell but only if I get to meet him"
"You will" she promises.
Hermione's POV
We went downstairs and I see Marcus holding a letter "Who's it from" I ask
"It's from papa" he replies
"What Happened?"
"She's gone" he says softly nearly to tears.
