Chapter 2 - Last Wish

Blaise's POV

After hours of crying and comforting each other Freya and I freshened up and head to bed to sleep or try and sleep rather neither of us felt like dinner tonight. Even after talking to Freya I still don't feel at peace I know papa told us to keep this quite but I have to tell someone, so who better to write to then my girlfriend. (That's right I said girlfriend) Daphne Greengrass my beautiful, caring, loving and rebellious girlfriend whom I deeply love she is fair skinned has Straight Blonde hair till her waist and Amber eyes.

I started seeing her a year after the war we've been dating secretly for 3 years now we've kept our relationship a secret because if our parents find out we will be pressurized to get married none of our friends know about us (well except Freya and Astoria) cause if the find out the news is bound to leak. I've known her long enough to know she can keep a secret.

Dear Daphne

Hello my darling, hope your all good. The reason I am writing is that I have some news I need to tell someone papa wrote to me and Freya today saying that our mother is unwell and wishes to see us this news has been bothering me ever since. Father told us not to tell anyone but I had to tell you because I know you will keep this secret for me, on the bright side I will be coming back to London shortly I can't wait to see you love.

Hermione's POV

I wasn't getting any sleep I'm sure neither was Marcus so I decided to write to my Best Friend.

Dear Tori

I heard from papa today unfortunately it was not good news my mother is ill and will not make it. She has asked for me and Mark I'm very scared, I don't know what my life will be like without her. We will be back in London by tomorrow night. Could you please be there to pick us up at the airport I'll text you on the time and details.

Third Person POV

The next morning Blaise wakes up and go up Hermione's room to see her already packing her suitcase, he says "Looks like you didn't get much sleep"

"Did you?" she replies. Just then a letter swoop in through the window

"Who's that from?" asks Blaise

"Astoria. I told her about the news" she answers

"Papa said not to tell anyone"

"Are you honestly telling me that you did not write to Daphne last night as well" she said annoyed,

Judging her mood Blaise says

"I'll cook some breakfast and I promise not to drop anything this time" hoping to cheer her up.

Hermione's POV

Once Marcus leaves the room I start reading Astoria's letter

Dear Freya

I am so sorry to hear about Fiona she is a lovely woman and don't worry about your life after her death she will always be with you in your heart besides you always have me, Marcus, and all the others to talk to. I look forward to seeing you keep me posed on the timings of your flight I'll be there to pick you up

I felt much better knowing all she just said, I take my phone and book us the flight tickets (Apparently they don't have port key's either) and send Astoria the timings I also explain the situation to Natasha. I go downstairs and we eat our breakfast in silence after the dishes our done I tell him "Our flight is leaves in 3 hours so you start packing Astoria's going to be there to pick us up. I spoke to my boss she agreed to give me a leave as long as I need I suggest you do the same"

Blaise POV

I inform the Auror department of my situation luckily I got a long leave as well, within an hour I finish packing I move our bags down stairs and we apparated to the airport we check in and sit on the flight in no time we'll be back home.

Hermione's POV

We get off the flight take our luggage and go out to the pickup there's just something right about being back in London and just then I see a familiar face my Best Friend Astoria Greengrass I run up to her and hug her. Marcus chuckles at this he gives her a hug as well.

"It's so good to see you Tori (Astoria's Nickname), you haven't changed a bit"

It was true she had the same fair skin, Fiery red hair that went up to her shoulders and those amber eyes just like her sister's.

"Well it's great to see you too both of you I'm happy that New York hasn't affected your bone crushing hugs" at this we all had a good laugh and we apparated to Diagon ally from there we took the floo to 'Zabini Manor'.

Zabini Manor, London

Third person POV

We reached home and our father was there greeting us with a hug.

"Welcome home kids, we missed you very much" says Robert

"We missed you too" Blaise and Freya said together 

"May we see her?" asks Blaise

"Yes but one at a time" 

Blaise goes in first and sees his mother on the bed pale as ever. He late out a small gasp

"Mama" 

"Marcus, your father told me you both will be arriving today"

"Are you sure there's nothing to be done may-mab-mabye we can" she cuts him off saying

"shhh.. It's ok It's ok... she assures him ...look everything is going to be the same you're going to celebrate Christmas you're going to have the ball nothing's going to change"

"But you're not going to be there"

"No I am I promise, the only thing I want from you is after I'm gone take care of your father and your sister, I've already told the rest to Robert. Now why don't you send Freya in"

Blaise comes out of the room devastated. Hermione sees him and runs inside she immediately breaks into tears.

"Mama please don't leave me" she says sobbing

I'm not going to leave you I'll always be with you, I promise you. Can you do me a favor?"

"Anything"

"I've already told Marcus and Robert everything. The only thing I want you to do for me is..." the next she said Hermione would not have imagined in a million years "...is pick Draco as your escort to the ball.

Hermione's jaw dropped "Can you do that for me?" asked Fiona

Even when she was shocked about the idea of going to the ball with her enemy she said "Of Course" and left the room
