Battle Of Fools.

Screams of glory and defeat roamed the halls without restraint, chains hung from the roof as bugs who were tangled in them struggled to get out.

Sly with his nail on his shoulder looked around with disgust visible on his face, I saw three spears embedded onto the floor with heads of dead bugs impaled onto the tip of the spear. On their decapitated heads, there were markings that told of the trails a person could choose to participate in.

Sly: "You will be participating in the first trial only, I don't want to stick around for too long."

Sly said as he started to walk away, soon after he returned.

Excursion: "What did you do?"

Sly: "I signed you up for the first trial, go forward into the colosseum."

I nodded and put my nail on my shoulder, walking through the long hallway I found myself in front of an arena.

/3rd Pov/

The people fighting on the battlefield stopped and looked at the new opponent, there stood Excursion he surveyed the area. He saw some dead bodies and then got ready to fight, his first opponent was a quick and strong woman wielding a hammer.

Excursion jumped up into the air and then dashed to the bug, she didn't expect that. The poor bug got sliced in half and her intestines got grabbed by Excursion and her upper body was used as a weapon to hit and smash other bugs.

Many bugs either got sent flying back or broke some limbs, Excursion dropped the dead female's body and jumped up into the air.

Gello came forth from Excursion's chest and started to shoot projectiles at the remaining enemies. Excursion landed on the floor and prepared himself for another wave, the gate opened and many bugs arrived on the scene.

The audience roared for more violence, they were starving for this type of battle. Excursion dashed to the nearest enemy and clenched his fist, suddenly black energy enveloped his hand.

The attack was devastating, brain and muscle sprayed out everywhere in a beautiful display of blood. Excursion looked at his hand as the energy left, he put his blade on his back as he sighed.

Excursion: "I believe I relied on my blade too much."

The other bugs felt a shiver run up their spines as Excursion's aura revealed itself, Excursions aura was darkish red with black spots on it. Excursion dashed to one of the bugs presents and reeled his arm back.

The bug put a shield in front of itself, Excursion stopped his attack because he saw the fear in the bug's eyes.

Excursion: "If you don't want to die then leave."

Excursion said as the bug nodded, Excursion picked up the bug and walked over to the gate. Excursion grabbed the bars of the gate and bent it and allowed the bug to leave. Excursion then turned around and caught an attack and punched the bug behind it killing him.

Excursion stomped on the ground sending a wave of spikes at his enemies impaling them. With all of the new waves of enemies dead, Excursion was starting to get bored.

Then horns started to blow, and two massive bugs came forth. Excursion recognized these bugs as the two Oblobbles, they both roared in unison as they started to rapidly shoot projectiles together.

Excursion grabbed one of the dead bodies from the floor and used it as a shield to protect himself from the attacks of the Oblobbles, this failed causing two attacks to hit Excursion breaking some of his armor.

[DOUBLE DAMAGE!!]

Excursion wanted to scream at the system for saying that, but he was too concentrated on dodging the mass of projectiles. Excursion found an opening for one of the Oblobble, he dashed at the furious Oblobble and slashed at him a bunch of times.

Excursion was too panicked to use his sword art, the Oblobble started to shoot even faster. Excursion dashed backward dodging one of the attacks, Excursion stabbed himself and used Multi-Shot on the Oblobble and caused it to gain the fear effect making it fly away.

Excursion went to a corner and started to heal, he charged up his nail art and ran at the now-shaking Oblobble and did a great slash killing it. The other Oblobble went silent as it roared in rage, it started to shoot even quicker like in the game.

Excursion knew the lore of these enemies and made the other Oblobble's death as painless as possible. Excursion dashed at the last Oblobble while charging his Great Slash, when he was close enough he launched it at the Oblobble.

Excursion: "You can rest now, there is no more need to fight...."

The Oblobble noticed what Excursion said and closed its eye, then it died alongside its lover... Excursion stood over the dead bodies, he closed the other Oblobbles eye in respect. He looked at the other dead bodies and did the same one by one.

Then Excursion using his [Silk Creation] made a bag to store money, as he finished the bag money came raining down from the audience as cheers echoed throughout the Colosseum. Excursion looked at the crowd and did something he always wanted to.

He bowed to the crowd causing them to cheer, even more, Excursion put all the money back into his bag. He then left the Colosseum and met back up with Sly who was clapping as Excursion made his way towards him.

/Sly POV/

I clapped as Excursion made his way towards me, I could not help but see an old version of myself within that hulking bug. I knew that the time for our adventures is starting to reach its end, but I just want to have this moment. I could forget about the past and the king.

Sly: "Good job son, I'm happy with what you did."

I was embarrassed that I called him my son by mistake, but he seemed to not notice and instead just looked at me happily. He may be another person I consider as one of my own, I wonder how Oro, Mato, and Sheo would feel about this.

Oro: Eh?

Mato: Did you hear something brother?

Sheo: Are you finally going insane?

Oro: No, I think I just heard someone... Probably doesn't matter.
