Tanjiro's POV:

I was sitting on my bed, sobbing. I bet every Hashira already knows about this and probably hates me now. I thought to myself, feeling more depressed (not depressed as in su1c!dal or cutt!ng, just really sad)

Knock Knock!

I heard someone banging on my door, I was about to get up and open the door when my guilt stopped me. No.. it'd be better if I don't answer. I don't want to get lectured...

"GONPACHIRO EH? YOU IN THERE?!" I heard someone yell, it was Inosuke.

Inosuke might act like a dick sometimes but he really cares for me. Surely he'd listened right? I hesitated for a moment, and then opened the door.

"Hey Inosuke.." I mumbled, still tearing up.

"Why are you crying Monjiro? I will fight whoever made you cry! I BET I'D BEAT THEIR ASS IN LESS THAN 3 SECONDS." Inosuke then started to cackle and giggle evilly.

"Inosuke- calm down you doofus." I said, patting his head.

"EH?! DON'T TOUCH MY PRECIOUS BOAR MASK WITH YOUR FILTHY HAND!!" Inosuke starts to shout at me. I chuckled, mentally appreciating Inosuke.

[Outside]

"So Inosuke.. you want to go to the village to buy some sushi?" I asked Inosuke kindly.

"HELL YEAH! I'M HUNGRY." Inosuke shouted, slapping his belly.

I chuckled and started to walk in the direction of the village.

But I quickly came to a stop, as I realized that Giyuu was walking towards me. Oh shit ok uhm oh shit alright oh sugar honey iced tea this is bad. I thought to myself. I quickly turned around and dragged Inosuke with me.

"EH GONPACHIRO WHAT ARE YOU DOIN'?" Inosuke shouted at me as he ran with me.

I was too busy and nervous to talk to him so I only responded with: "Not now, run."

After we ran for a while, we stopped. I turned around and there was no one chasing me. Phew.. that was clo-

"Tanjiro.." Giyuu said, suddenly appeared in front of me.

I gulped and stared into his emotionless eyes. I wanted to say something but I feel my heart curl and my lips tremble.

Giyuu stared straight into my eyes, even though he was emotionless. I could somehow see anger and sadness in his eyes.

"Tomioka-ku-" I was cut off by Giyuu.

"It's Giyuu not Tomioka." He stared straight into my eye, filled with jealousy and looked away.

"I-I.." I started, my lips trembling and tears started to fall out of my eyes.

I turned around to reach for Inosuke but found that he was talking to Aoi.

I suddenly got grabbed by Giyuu and was dragged to his water mansion. As he pulled me inside, I felt my hand sweat. Giyuu then pushed me onto the wall and cupped both of my hands.

"Promise me.." He said slowly, his mouth barely open.

"U-um" Tanjiro said, his face blushed a deep red.

"Promise me I'm the only one." Giyuu said, tears falling and streaming down his cheeks. I've never seen Giyuu this way before. His lips were trembling and his hand was shaking. His eyes shut tightly as if trying to stop his tears.

I looked at his face that is expressing great sorrow and sadness. How unusual of someone like Giyuu.

I wiggled my hand out of Giyuu's. And put both of my palms around his cheeks and started to caress it.

"I promise." I said in a comfortable tone and smiled with my eyes closed. I then felt myself getting pulled close to Giyuu. He leaned in, his head half tilted and pressed his lips against mine softly.
