I stood there trying to think of what to do when I looked behind Drew and saw the gate in the lake and suddenly got an idea that I really didn't want to go through with but it seemed like the only option
Pitiful woman of darkness, what kind of life have you known? Gods give me courage to show you, you are not alone" I sang as I slowly walked closer to Drew. I made sure that Nico was behind so that I couldn't see the heartbreak on his face as I lend in and kissed Drew.
The moment my lips touched her I felt sick to my stomach. It was that Drew was physically unattractive but she was a manipulating killer who had a soul as deadly and terrifying as a snake. Not only that but I felt I was cheating on the one I actually loved. I'd feel better giving a 15ft python a hug, but this was the only way I could make her truly think I was on her side and make my plan succeed. I pulled away after only a few seconds but then Drew pulled me back in and deepen the kiss making me almost brake and push her away. Living in the opera house I had learned how to act pretty well but this was the worst act I never had to do. After several seconds to long Drew pulled away
"We should leave" I whispered with fear in my voice. I knew she would think that I was scared of staying with Nico but I was really scared of her.
"Your right, we should go before he gets into your head again" Drew said as she took her gun off her shoulder and I had to hide my relief as she dropped the rope.
"Don't even think about following us" Drew said pointing the gun behind me at Nico. As we walked towards the boat I heard Nico fall to the ground and quickly wiped away a tear that fell down my cheek before Drew could see it. We got in the boat and rowed to the gate and Drew pushed it up. The moment we moved past the gate I grabbed it and pulled it down just enough that it was just under the water so that it looked like it was closed all the way then I sat down and waited. Once the gate was a good distance away I put my acting skills to the test once more.
"He's in the water!" I yelled moving to the otherside of the boat, once Drew looked over the side of the boat I took a deep breath and lunged to the side she was on capsizing the boat and plunging us both into the water.
I swam up to the surface and took a breath of air while Drew came up coughing up water and gasping for air.
"You!" Drew spat her voice full of anger
"Guess I was wrong" I said
Drew pointed at the overturned boat and opened her mouth to speak but I covered my ear before I could hear was she was saying. When I didn't do anything she glared and untangled the gun from her shoulder and pointing it at me although my ears were covered her next words were clear.
"If I can't have you neither can he" Drew said before pulling the trigger but then nothing, she looked at the gum in confusion and I smirked. I didn't know much about guns but what I did know was that they got water logged and wouldn't work if dropped in water.
She dropped the gun in the water and started to swim towards me
"I'll kill you! I'LL KILL YOU BOTH!" Drew screamed loud enough for me to hear her even with my ears covered.
All fear I had was replaced with pure anger and I started to glow brightly, so bright that Drew yelled and covered her eyes
"Never touch my fiance again!" I yelled before swimming away
"WAIT! MY EYES I CAN'T SEE!" Drew yelled and I stopped for a moment as her charm hit me
"How do I find my way back?" Drew sobbed
"I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually" I said before taking a breath and diving into the water so that I couldn't hear her as I swam. I went to the surface only when I needed air and after a little I came to the gate and swam under it then closed it behind me and swam to the surface.
I took a deer breath and looked around but saw no sign of Nico. I swam to the edge of the water and got out and walked until I heard a music box playing. I walked towards the sound of it to find Nico sitting down next to a music box with a monkey sitting on top of it in Italian clothes. It's hands moved in tone to the music with cymbals.
"Masquerade......Paper faces on parade . . .
Masquerade......Hide your face, So the world will....Never.....find you" Nico sang softly before breaking down in sobs and I ran over fell down next to him and pulled him into my arms
"W-Will?" Nico asked in between sobs
"I'm here" I said trying not to cry
"Sunshine I love you" Nico sang softly and I broke
"I-I Love you to Angel" I said now crying
