Today I was walking down the street with my buddy Gerald. We went to a restaurant to treat ourselves with something nice. The waitress came to both of us giving the menu's while tearing up. I asked the gal 'Miss, are you fine?' She responded to me saying 'I'm ok, it's just that something happened recently'. Me, who was very interested, decided to keep the conversation going by asking 'If you're ok with it, can you tell me what happened?' So then she inhaled and went on 'Do you know the person who was famous on TV, Joe?' I do watch TV all day, but I never heard of a guy mentioned by the name of "Joe". I quickly whispered to my buddy saying 'Who's Joe? What's she on about?' And he just shrugged at me. I turned to face the waitress who was bawling out tears like crazy and asked her 'I never heard of a Joe, who's Joe?' Big mistake. While waiting patiently for her answer, her tears stopped. Her frown slowly was turning into a wide smile. Customers staring at us, whispering and giggling. Her mouth opened, saying these exact words
'Joe Mama'
My heart stopped, I felt so nauseous, experienced a severe headache, and before I fainted I could hear people around us laughing, saying stuff like 'He fell for the joke!' Or 'Can't believe he didn't know it!' Last thing I could remember from that moment was my buddy also laughing at me, heartbreaking to remember.
