Ally's POV
Carl started running out towards me. I walked slower and waited until Carl was a few inches behind me. then i stopped. he ran into me, stumbled, and fell backwards. i laughed and ran away.
I walked into Sophias and Carols house. i grabbed Sophias arm and walked out. "bye mom. ill be back." Carol waved.
"What the heck is up?" Sophia asked, concerned and annoyed.
"Carl... was making out with that new girl, Amy. i cant stand her. what the hell is his problem? You dont just cheat on your girlfriend. even if its the walkerpocalypse." sophia nodded.
"Guys. i heard there was a new guy at the gate. wanna come see?" Beth asked. (is Beth dead? Whatever.) we nodded and followed. when we got to the gate, i froze. my heart skipped a beat. was that who i thought it was?
"J... J... Joey?" I swallowed hard.
He looked at me. his striking green eyes looked me over. then he ran to me. i hugged him tight. I missed him so much. really my only friend when the world was normal.
One hour later
"Honestly, i didnt think youd make it." Joey told me. Sophia giggled. i laughed.
"Who wants to play truth or dare?" Sophia asked. we nodde. "ok. ill go first. Ally. truth or dare."
I thought for a moment. "Dare."
"Ok. i dare you to... go slap Carl. in the face."
"Sure. ok." i found Carl sitting alone near the pond.
"Oh. hey Ally." he smiled like everything was just dandy. well it wasnt. he didnt know what he had coming. i slapped him. hard. before he held his hand to his left cheek, i saw a red mark on his face.
"Oops." i smirked and walked away. Sophia and Joey doubled over laughing.
We walked back to our original spot. "ok. my turn. Joey. truth or dare."
"Truth." He answered.
"What do you miss the most about the normal world. ya know. pre-apocalypse."
It took him less that one second tho answer. "wifi."
"Me too." i said. Sophia looked at us strangely. then she laughed. She tickled me. "What the heck!"
She smirked then walked away. when she was out of sight, Joey just grabbed me and started kissing me. and i kissed back. it was a good kiss. i knew the way he kissed so well. it wasnt new to me. he had kissed me once before. that was a good kiss too. now that i think about it, he was a better kisser that Carl. that b*tch.
Carl walked nearby, still holding face. he looked at me. then Joey, both in shock. i kissed more passionately. just to make Carl jealous. i liked making him jealous. it was a good feeling. after all, he was a big fat lying jerk.
