Meeting nightwing

*Dick pov. *
*September 03 7:00 P.M. *
Dick sighed he couldn't help but feel even more tired when he drives home. He wanted this night to be over very soon since he really missed his family and he'll see his brothers and sisters (and father/grandfather) tomorrow. He parked his car in front of the building. He went inside and greeted some of his neighbors while passing by. When he opened his apartment door, he was called upon by Wally West aka Kid Flash. 'What are they doing here...' Dick mentally groaned.

"Yes." He said turning around.

"Yeah, our landlord told us that you could help with our apartment and we kinda need help with our electricity." Wally asked.

"Sure, I'd love to help you guys out." Dick answered, even though he was lying they didn't seem to even notice.

"Thanks a lot mate!" Wally said way to enthusiastic.

Dick smiled at him and let Wally guide him to the electricity closet.

"So will you guys tell me your names our do I have to guess?" Dick jokingly asked. He already knew their names but shouldn't be suspicious.

"Of course, I'm Megan Mors, this is Conner Kent, the red-haired boy next to you is Wally West, the girl with black hair is Zatanna, the boy who's is drinking water is Kaldur and this is Artemis." Megan replies with a kind smile.

"Wait Artemis, how's it going I haven't seen you since high school." Dick says, pretending to recognize her.

"Wait little Dick Grayson, wow you've grown! Doing fine how about you?" Artemis says also pretending to recognize Dick.

"Everything is fine with me." Dick says while turning the electricity back on room for room.

"So why did you guys move to Blüdhaven, it's not exactly the dream city." Dick asked the team.

"It's for our work, we're um...reporters." Zatanna answered him.

"Oh cool, well the electricity is running now." And just when Dick said it the lights went on.

Dick waved them goodbye and exited the apartment, little did the team know he hid a microphone in their room so he could know what they where up to. And if the kryptonian wanted to hear or see what he was saying or doing, he couldn't since all the apartments in this building have led in the walls.
He sat down in his couch with a huff and started getting to work. He grabbed his computer and connected it with the microphone and started to listen.

"So, what do we think about the detective?" He could hear Zatanna asking.

"I don't know he seems smart and nice." Kid Flash said talking with food in his mouth.

"Yuk didn't your mother thought you shouldn't eat with your mouth full. Besides we should be more careful with Dick Grayson, he's very smart probably the smartest guy I know. So, if we aren't careful, he might figure out who we are." Artemis said, Dick couldn't help but feel proud at the complement.

"He seems like a normal guy to me and Megan did you feel something in his mind?" Conner asked his girlfriend, Dick couldn't help but laugh, who did they think he is even the best telepath couldn't infiltrate his mind.

"No, I didn't send anything of him. He's blocking me without even trying." She says sighing.

"We'll talk about detective Grayson later it's best if we suit up now since it's getting dark and the Nightwing only gets out when it's dark." Kaldur suggested.

Dick sighed, Aqualad was right. Dick got up from the couch and took a handful of cereal, since he didn't have enough time for a proper dinner. He put on his suit and jumped out the window into the night.

*Team pov. *

*September 03 8:00 A.M. *

The team that now has suited up and left the building through the window.

'I'm so excited!!!' Wally yelled/thought in the mind-link.

'Calm down Wally, if you're too wild we might alert Nightwing and he'll run away from us." Megan says scanning the area.
'If we haven't already alerted him.' Artemis says, she had some experience with the Batman, so if Nightwing was somehow linked to him, he probably already know exactly where they were. Even though she lived in Gotham, she never met the Batman since he was always too quick to catch up with him. Also, there were rumors that Batman worked together with 7 kids/young adults but that was never confirmed, maybe the rumor was true and Nightwing was one of them.

Since the team was so concentrated, they didn't notice somebody moving in the shadows. Before they knew it there was someone standing behind them.

*Everybody pov. *

"I thought the Justice League knew that neither Gotham nor Blüdhaven doesn't accept Meta's in their city." A deep voice said, making the team jump in surprise.

"What, where did you come from. I couldn't hear you?" Super asked/said surprised.

"I just came from that rooftop but you didn't answer my question." Nightwing said already less intimidating.

"We're here to ask you to join the Young Justice team." Kaldur said in a diplomatic voice.

"Yeah no..." Nightwing said immediately. "I mean y'all seem really fun and all but I don't like being monitored constantly by the Justice League and the government. I'll rather be free." He continued, ignoring the annoyed faces of the team.

"Well, it's better than being a vigilante since that is illegal." Artemis said at him with annoyance clear in her voice.

"Yeah, well that doesn't really seem my problem." Nightwing said smirking.

Artemis groaned there was no way he'd come with them willingly.

"Also, I'm sorry but I have to go I have an appointment with crime, if you're smart let it go." Nightwing said vanishing in the darkness before they could stop them.

"Well shit, we just failed our supe easy mission." Wally says looking in front of him.

"Don't worry, we'll call the league first thing tomorrow. They'll know what to do." Kaldur said. "But for now, let's go back to bed it's already 1 A.M.
