~Carter's POV~

Jordan and I walk through the forest together, his hand holding mine. To be honest, I didn't really have feelings for him....but I thought I would give things a shot. I look over at him to see him smiling and looking back at me.

"I'm glad you're alright Carter." He murmurs.

"It's all thanks to you. If you hadn't seen the trail mi- I mean I left, who knows what would've happened...." I reply.

"Carter.....you're so beautiful....why don't you come stay with me?" Jordan offers.

"I'm flattered...but I'm Wag's apprentice, and it wouldn't be fair to him for me to skip out. He's been like a big brother to me..." I look at Jordan. Ianite appears in the forest before us and smiles at us.

"Having fun you two?" She winks at Jordan. My face flushes, and burns with embarrassment.

"Hey Jordan I think I dropped something back a little ways, could you fetch it for me? Please?" I plead, making my eyes appear wide. He nods cheerfully and jogs into the forest behind us. I approach the goddess, and equip my father's rapier.

"I'm sorry...but I have to save my father and my friend...." I tell her. She looks at me quizzically, and I lunge at her. A sword clashes with mine, but it's not Ianite's. Jordan stands before me, his own rapier drawn.

"Why Carter." He looks at me.

"You wouldn't understand. I have to do this..." Tears start falling down my face. Pulling away, I attack Jordan, and disarm him. With him scrambling to find his sword, I aim for Ianite. Stabbing with my sword, it barely touches her.
"Carter! Stop!" I hear his voice. Wag races over and removes the sword from my hand.
"Don't do this. It isn't worth it." He whispers sadly. I push him away, and take out one of the spells I stole.
"I'm sorry Wag....maybe one day you will all understand....." I shoot the spell at Ianite, killing her instantly.
"NO!!" Jordan screams. Mianite appears beside me moments later.
"Good job Carter. I'll spare the wizard for now...let us be off." Mianite says to me, and I obey. I take my sword back from Wag, who is still in shock, and then Mianite teleports me away.

~Waglington's POV~

I drop to my knees as Carter vanishes. She did that....to save me... Jordan screams in frustration. His goddess was just murdered, and Carter left with the evil God.

I'm still with you....

Ianite's voice floats through the clearing. Of course, she's the same as Dianite now. Only a spirit.
"My lady....why did you let her..." Jordan's voice had become hoarse.

It was destined to happen....

Jordan sobs on the ground, and I'm still processing everything. Martha arrives moments later.

"I told you Waglington! I told you she needed to be locked up! But no, you sympathized with her and now my mother is dead! This is your fault!" She screams at me. I do nothing to defend myself. She's right. I should have stopped Carter.

"Wait....you knew!?" Jordan looks at me, pure hatred in his eyes. I nod solemnly and as Jordan advances on me, I do nothing.
