The Other Side

~Wag's POV~

We've been sitting in these cells for what seems like days. In that time I've been thinking, and I realize....I'm in love with Carter. I sigh and punch the wall. Suddenly, Not-Carter walks into the dungeon and looks around at us. They had sunglasses on, probably to hide those demon eyes. It walks over to me and unlocks the cell.

"What do you want with Waglington!?" Tom shouts. Not-Carter ignores him, and moves the sunglasses. Blue...

"Carter...." I breathe. She nods.

"I've regained control...thanks to you...." She murmurs. I needed to tell her.

"Carter....I-" I begin to say.

"Carter! Help us!" Jordan shouts. I peek around Carter to look at him, and see him glaring at me. She puts the sunglasses back on.

"Wag I'm so so sorry....I have to do this...." She murmurs as a tear slides down her cheek. Her hand is raised and beam of power hits my arm. I cry out in pain and clutch the wound. Carter whirls around and storms out.

"What the hell was that?" Martha questions.

"Th-the person....controlling h-her body....t-torturing her...by h-hurting me...." I shakily answer. Dianite looks at the group.

"I've failed you all. I am truly sorry." He tells us.

"No brother. You didn't do this. Mianite did." Ianite speaks to him. I turn to look at Jordan, and he's still glaring at me. I've had it.

"Why do you hate me Jordan?" I ask him.

"I love her and I won't let you ruin that!" He growls.

"You do realize that Mianite threatened to kill me to get her to comply. Not you." I hiss.

"Aren't you the one who said nothing is going on between you two." Jordan sneers.

"That was before I realized that I love her. And I'm not gonna sit by while you threaten me over a girl who doesn't like you." I yell. Tom looks from Jordan to me.

"Calm down. Why is this such a big deal! Let Carter decide when we rescue her. She isn't some prize or trophy, she's a girl who is dealing with a lot of shit." Tom says to us sternly.

"Tom is right. Sparklez...if she chooses to be with the Wizard....you must respect that...." Ianite tells him.

"No. She wouldn't choose him." Jordan spits. The door to the dungeon flies open, and Mianite walks in and throws Carter to the ground. Her wings are broken, her dress torn.

"This stupid girl thought she could kill me. I thought I had a good enough hold on her, but someone here broke the control. And look at how she has paid for it." Mianite booms. He lifts her up and tosses her into the cell with me.

"You all will never see the light of day again!" Mianite says angrily. He leaves the dungeon, and I kneel next to Carter.

"Carter are you alright...." I murmur.

"My wings....hurt....everything..." She breathes and falls into unconsciousness.
