NOTE: I do not own Five Nights at Freddy's or any of its characters. This is just a made up story for an OC I've created

It was after closing, the music was silenced, the animatronics were asleep, the crazy disco lights were off, and it was quiet. He swept a few pizza crumbs out from under a table and into a neat pile. This was the last table to clean, then he could go home. His job wasn't too bad, he got free pizza, but kids were messy. All day he would have to clean up after them, and sometimes he even had to clean the animatronics. One time a kid spilt soda on Fredbear, which caused the janitor to stay longer with one of the bosses to clean Fredbear up. The bosses were okay too. Though one seemed quiet and never really made an effort to know his employees. But his friend, the other boss, knew them all by name and was always polite. The employee put away the broom, after sweeping up the mess under the table, and dumped out all the crumbs into the trash can. He could hear someone talking in the arcade. He perked up and tried to listen in on what they were saying. He could hear his boss' voice, the other belonged to someone else. Putting away the dustpan, the young janitor peeked into the arcade a bit to see what was going on. His boss, the polite one, was talking to another man, they stood by an arcade game that seemed new. The boss shook the man's hand, then the man left. The janitor looked at the new game. It was purple and had Spring Bonnie on the front and along the sides of it. The rabbit was in a sneaky running pose, and the game was called SpringMaze.

"Floyd," his boss said, catching him off guard. "I see you found our new game." He smiled. Floyd looked at his boss, Mr Afton, then back at the game.

"It looks cool." He said, walking into the arcade room.

"Hopefully it is cool." Mr Afton chuckled. "Why don't you try it out first?" He plugged in the machine, then smiled at Floyd as it started up. The young employee watched Spring Bonnie run in place on the screen as the game loaded, then pressed start when it finished loading. Spring Bonnie was now standing at the start of a maze, waiting for Floyd to direct him through it. Mr Afton watched as his employee controlled the rabbit, making it go this way and that. As Spring Bonnie got farther into the maze, Floyd began to feel a strange feeling. The tips of his fingers started to tingle, and he couldn't stop the dread that was slowly rising inside him. He continued to guide the rabbit through the maze until the pixel rabbit hit a wall.

"I don't think I can do it." Floyd said shakily, not looking at his boss. He just watched Spring Bonnie on the screen, waiting patiently to get out of the maze.

"It's alright, it's your first try. Not everyone can get it on their first try." Mr Afton reassured him. But for some reason, Floyd's hands were drawn back to the controls, like he himself was being controlled. He continued to play the game, not sure if Mr Afton was still talking or not. Spring Bonnie got deeper and deeper into the maze, eventually Floyd couldn't feel his body, and he couldn't take his eyes off the screen. "You don't like to give up, do you?" Floyd shook his head, giving up was for losers, especially for giving up on something as simple as a maze. "I could use somebody like you." What was he talking about? Floyd could hardly pay attention, he just nodded. "Do you want to help me? In return, I can help you. It wouldn't be wise to turn down this offer." Floyd nodded, finally he walked Spring Bonnie out of the maze. The yellow rabbit started dancing as confetti fell from the sky, the words "high score" flashed on the screen in white and red. "Good job." Mr Afton said with a smile. "Now go ahead and put your name so everyone knows you were the first to play." The janitor did as told, spelling out his name on the machine with a small smile. His little victory was short-lived when the screen suddenly turned purple, as if the game had crashed. The tingly feeling came back in his fingertips, and then spread to the rest of his body. He looked at his hands and his eyes widened. His hands were transparent, he could see right through them. The purple screen of the arcade machine got brighter, but it seemed calming to him. He tried to put his hand on the screen, but instead it went into the screen. The other side felt warm and inviting, much better than the reality he faced every day. He put his other hand into the screen, and could feel the rest of his body slowly moving into the machine. Mr Afton watched as his employee almost willingly climbed into the screen. Then the machine shut off, and Floyd was gone. "I'll need you one day, boy." Mr Afton said. "But first I have to make sure you're ready "

Many Years Later

There were complaints about this machine, it had strange glitches and text that would appear on the screen. But that's what people get for playing a game called GlitchyMaze. The two workers were tasked with the job of putting it away where no one would find it, which wasn't too difficult in a giant mall. Once the game was settled down back onto the ground they looked at each other, then left the room, leaving the game in the dark. The game was a revamped version of one of the games found back in Fredbear's Family Diner. Some of the same data was used to create this game, which might explain why it was so glitchy, but the workers didn't care. The screen of the lonely arcade machine flashed to life, showering the room in a bright purple light. The screen glitched a little and the words "be happy" appeared in an orange font. The screen glitched again, and a human hand reached out of it. Slowly, a figure drug themself out of the machine's screen, falling onto the ground, panting. They looked around, then looked at the screen, which still said "be happy."
