Y/n's pov
I ran barefoot towards my father's chamber without caring that I left Marriane behind. But as soon as I reached, a figure stood there I halted to find my stepmom in front of me, " Greetings Your Majesty" I said breathing heavily in between, and tried to move across her to see my father, but she stopped me, put her hand on my shoulder and said, " A word y/n" With that she walked away as I followed her behind preparing myself for I knew what is to come. She stopped in front of my mother's room and signaled me to go inside I went in and looked around once before facing my stepmom, she closed the door behind me and held a whip in her hands
" Y/n " I Shuddered at her voice as she slowly walked towards me holding out the whip "Sir Jung went to look for you in your room and you weren't there surely I remember putting you in detention right?? " she smiled a chill ran through to my spine. Uncle Jung, she must have sent her knight behind him to keep a watch luckily Uncle Jung must have tricked him to make sure he didn't follow him
" Y/n you seem to forget who's the queen here seeing as you fail to listen to me, TURN AROUND! I am sure you know what to do" She yelled, I did as she instructed me to. I turned around and bent down on my knees pulling my dress down to my back.
Time skip
" Well, I believe now you will learn to obey my orders y/n."
With that, she left the room and left me there with my back covered in blood and pain from her lashes. Marriane rushed over to the room holding my hands she sobbed as she spoke, " Miss you are bleeding, you must not endure this anymore, please at least for my sake I can't see you like this."
I smiled at her as a tear rolled down from my eyes I cupped her face in my hands and spoke, " Thanks marriane I know what I have to do, but before that help me clean up I can't visit Father like this"
After cleaning up my wounds and changing my outfit I entered my father's chambers I saw him lying on the bed still, he looked so old for someone in his 40s I knew something was off I knew my stepmother must have done something to his medication but I was helpless I couldn't do anything she had her people everywhere she had control, I always wondered why my grandfather let her marry my father I don't mean offensively but she couldn't give birth she was a casted aside princess who no one cared for.
I decided to gain control to stand firm against her I have to marry it doesn't matter who as long as I can stand up on my feet and be a little useful for the people I love and for my kingdom
