A New Beginning

Well This Is Just Great...

Sonic was sitting down in the living room watching his favorite show, as you could hear that quiet vibrate coming from his phone alerting him about the new notification. He picks his phone up getting a message from the pink head herself.

"Hey Sonic! Remember our picnic is at 11:45, make sure your not late again..." Sonic completely forgot about this plan he set up with Amy, he then looks at the clock and realizes its 11:40. Oh fuck!- Sonic thought to himself as he leaped off the couch and sprinted to his room to get ready in a flash.

Now sprinting down the sidewalk; all cleaned up and ready for the "date" or that's what Amy calls it. Sonic finally arrives a few minutes late, fashionably late of course! Amy smiles with joy to see that "her" man actually came this time. They both sit down have a couple laughs and bond a bit...until...

"Sonic, listen why do you even hang out with that emo hedgehog...or Tails! Their so out of your league!" Sonic stares at Amy for a second and clinches his fist up trying not to get mad. "Amy everyone is equal, their not out of my league...and besides their my friends, just like you!"...Amy's body freezes up as she starts tearing up.

"WERE ONLY FRIENDS?!" She yells in amazement and out of fury. Sonic startled moves back a bit, trying to figure out if he needs to run or not. "Yeah of course, I only think of you as my friend" he says quietly trying to adjust to the new negative atmosphere.

Amy gets up as tears start to roll down her face. "Why can't we be a thing Sonic, hmm! Tell me why can't we date?!" She yells again. Sonic now contemplating if he should have even spoke. Sonic then thinks, only coming up with one idea at the moment. "Amy I don't like you like that, I care for you...just...not in a couple orientated way." He says trying not to start more chaos and anger through Amy then there already is.

Amy yells again, and again, and again. Blinded by her own rage she slaps Sonic and stomps off back to her house. Sonic not only befuzzled but guilt tripped into his own feelings about ones persons. Why don't I like Amy, sure she is cute and sweet...sometimes...but we have such a good bond, how come I don't like her?...

Sonic still sitting, thinking on why he really may not like Amy in the way she wants him to like her. Everytime he thinks of something his thoughts end up getting blocked, consumed by all of the racing thoughts and the guilt trip, he can't pull himself together. As he gets up his mind gets clear again, as this happens a light bulb hits!

...Am I gay?!
