Jimin didn't know then but one day, he was going to regret that moment at that time, it had seemed perfect. Who would have known it was going to lead to the most troublesome period of his entire life.

That night, Taehyung was determined not to waste his last moment with Jimin. They went everywhere, to play cards and to karaoke. Taehyung was bad at it because he ended up losing some money but he didn't care at all. Of course, why would he? He was rich.

Their last stop was at the karaoke and sang their hearts out. it had taken quite a long time before both of them found a small motel room for the night. It was small but neat and convenient.

"We'll stay here for the night then leave first thing tomorrow morning okay? Taehyung said with a reassuring smile but Jimin didn't move ever since he entered the room. He felt uncomfortable and a little excited sharing one room with Taehyung.

He had sent his mother a text that he was with a friend but she hadn't read it yet and he was scared of her reaction. Taehyung lay on his bed.

"Come here..." He whispered but Jimin still did not move.

Taehyung smiled. "Is this because of your mom?"

"Sort of, I'm worried about her reaction when she finds out I didn't return home"

Taehyung didn't respond. He just sighed and looked out the window.

"I'm sorry but maybe I'm a bit selfish today"

He breathed heavily. "But being here with you, it's the closest I can get to happiness and I can't waste it"

Jimin thought for a moment before finally sitting beside Taehyung. There was something Jimin had been curious about for so long. He decided it was the best moment to ask him.

"Why did you run away from home?"

Taehyung was silent. He took a deep breath and looked out the window.

"My parents fight all the time because my mom's suspecting my dad of cheating on her..."

"She claims they have compatibility issues and that their marriage isn't working"

He bit his lips. "They are seriously considering divorce"

The silence was heavy in the room and Jimin saw Taehyung's face laden with pain as he continued to speak in a somber tone.

"I wish they would just stop fighting all the time. If they want to divorce, they should go right ahead and stop messing with me! " he cried.

"You don't mean that," Jimin said smiling sadly. "You're just speaking out of anger"

Taehyung heaved deeply and without warning, grabbed Jimin's hand pulling him to the bed. Trapped by his side, he wrapped his arms around him tightly so he wouldn't leave.

"Tae, what are you doing?" He whispered feeling a bit out of breath.

"Please don't go. Just stay like this" he murmured, his breath fanning his hair. No matter how much he persisted, Taehyung was determined not to let him go so Jimin had no choice but to give in letting himself be enclosed in his arms.

He couldn't deny it. He loved being like this with him and more often than not, his mind wandered off to remarkable places but he quickly scolded himself willing his mind not to stray too far.

"I like you Jimin. I like you" Taehyung whispered in a breathy voice before falling asleep. Smiling, Jimin snuggled closer to him and fell asleep with his arms hugging Taehyung tightly.

Jimin woke up in the middle of the night. For a second, he had forgotten where he was until he saw Taehyung beside him, face inches away from his, his arms wrapped protectively around his waist. Jimin couldn't help but admit that Taehyung looked adorable while sleeping, his red lips puckered. There was a tiny birthmark at the tip of his nose tempting him to lightly graze it with the tip of his fingers. Then he wandered to other parts of his facial contours, touching his eyelashes, his cheekbones, and just as his fingers lightly caressed his lips thinking to himself how it would feel to be kissed by the other, Taehyung suddenly opened his eyes.
