It was now the final day of Izuku's middle school. He was practically just not paying much attention to the teacher as he already knew everything. Ever since a few months ago, Izuku in a way was curious for what occurred on that day even if he didn't show it.
The class bell rings as the class started to pack up with the teacher saying.
Teacher : Well that's all everyone and this where we part I hope you all become heroes for your dreams. *grins* Say Midoriya hope you-
Izuku : *blank tone* I gave up being a hero sir I'm gonna be a normal person.
Everyone in the class froze in shock from Izuku's statement even Bakugo. His eyes widening like he heard the most bullshit thing he ever heard. The bullies then walked to Midoriya where they all laughed.
??? : Haha knew you finally see the world that you will never be a hero.
Izuku : Who say that I will never be a hero?
The boys were perplexed before laughing so hard thinking that the boy is still delusional about being a hero.
??? : HAHAHAHA after all that you still think of being a hero you worthless Deku *continues laughing*
Izuku : You really don't get what it means to be a hero don't you?
The boys stopped laughing before stare at Izuku with some confusion but anger in their eyes before shouting back.
??? : WHAT DO YOU KNOW BEING A HERO MEANS FIGHTING VILLAINS TO STOP THEM COMMITTING CRIMES.
Izuku : *stares into his eyes* Wrong.
The class was even more shocked that the boy they see that was a stuttering mess was speaking so calmly without much fear. Who knew that the most fragile boy became more hardened than steel that he couldn't fear a monster in disguise.
Izuku : Being hero means putting other's lives before yours as your job is to maintain they live happy to prevent them from suffering that may lead to them to stray from their own paths that may result in them being a villain.
The people in the class suddenly looked down at the ground knowing what Izuku said was true. Izuku then continued.
Izuku : Even then heroes have to make sure we bring them back from the dark before they're too gone. They say the conditions you grew up in could change your path in life as mine would've sent me 6 feet under if I wasn't strong willed on living. Or yet worse I could've been a villain that could be after all of you for revenge. Don't think just cause I'm quirkless I can't get back at you, always predict the unpredictable before it happens. And also a title doesn't define the person, the actions do.
He then grabbed his bag as he walked out of the class before looking at them one more time before leaving. Bakugo throughout his whole speech was left speechless before reflecting back on his life thinking about what led to him bullying De- No Izuku.
It all started from just back in preschool where he first showed the class his quirk. The teachers complimented him, or rather his quirk but that very moment change his personality. Later on when they started primary school but the teachers fed the students with quirks more and more compliments that fueled their ego. Bakugo was the one most effected due to his strong quirk and receiving many compliments and remarks from teachers. That was the start of when the teachers say that quirkless people was a waste of space.
That type of thinking entered all the kids as Izuku was the only one quirkless he was looking down before some boys including Bakugo started to walk up to him and that's when his torment began. Bakugo remembered every moment that happened and looking back he sees himself as a big jerk. He just kept and kept pushing Izuku down from being a hero even though they promised each other when they were young that they would be a duo together.
