The next day, we were watching the news and I saw the football team. They were actually discussing the raffle, and how the girls ran off and didn't claim the prize. They zoomed in on the two girls.
'Oh great,' I thought. Grandma and I walked out of the room innocently. Thankfully, the screen was blurry and they couldn't tell it was us. Until the doorbell rang.
"Girls!!! Can you grab that??" stepmom shouted to grandma and I. We did, and guess who it was. Greg.
"Is this, uh, Margret Joan??" Greg asked. Before she could answer, my stepmom and stepsisters ran up to the door.
"I am!!!!!!" Sammy shouted. She wanted the prize, which is over 1,000 dollars.
"Yea, that's our family..." My stepmom added. "Well, uh, here's your prize."He handed them a check with a weird look.
Then he made eye contact with me.
"Is that you", he asked.
I swallowed. "Yea." that was a mistake. My stepmom was near.
Greg leaned in toward me and I don't know what happened...
