It turned out that all of the racket was Grandma! She had driven her car up to our driveway and the lights were super bright.
Yay! I didn't know Grandma was coming. Well, she technically wasn't my grandma. She was Sammy and Jackie's Grandma. So you would think that I hate her, right? No. She is the nicest person ever to me and I love her so much. She is one person that actually cares about me. And that's why no one else in my family likes her. Grandma likes me, and they don't.
I ran outside to see Grandma's red car parking in the driveway. "Grandmas! I didn't know you were coming!"
"Oh, sweetheart, it was a surprise. Where is everyone else?" Grandma told me after she got our of her car.
"They are at a football game. Without me," I said sadly. "I wish I could go too."
"Why can't you go?" Grandma asked.
"I have work to do," I answered.
"So what? Hop in my car we have a super bowl to see!"
What was she talking about? My stepmom was going to kill me. I have to get the work done! (Even though I didn't want to.)
"Are you coming?" Grandma waited for me in the car.
"Fine. But if your daughter [my stepmom] gets mad, it your fault," I replied.
"She won't get mad, I'm her mom."
We drove off as I felt uncomfortable being in there. I still didn't have my jersey and football.
"Grandma? I need a jersey to wear. It's not right to not wear something that represents the team at a super bowl," I told her. Of course, she had something up her sleeve.
"No problem. I always have something handy in my car," she said and reached in a spot and pulled out a Steelers shirt.
"Thank you so much!" I gasped and put on the shirt over my clothes. "Yay!"
