Part 4 : friends ?

"The world is full of monsters with friendly faces and angels full of scars. "

If any human being ever saw only her eyes, they would certainly get horrified and hysterical and run away as far as possible.

But he didn't.

Of Course he was terrified of what she could be but he also had the guts to know the truth. He wanted to know what the girl really was.

"Why aren't you running away?", She asked.

She was taken aback.

It was the first time someone was standing sanely before her after seeing her real eyes.

The boy didn't answer. He was too panic-stricken but didn't let it show.

With a deep sigh the girl said, "I'm not a human."

The truth was finally coming out.

"I'm just a lost soul trying to seek revenge."

The boy's heart had calmed down a bit but now he was also confused by her strange confession.

With another deep breath the girl started unfolding the truth,

She asked, "Did you know your father was a hit man?"

Now the boy was utterly confused.

She continued, "Well, isn't your birthday July 4th?

That's the same day I was tortured and murdered by none other than your father right here in this church backyard.

I'm sure you also heard that your mother died while giving birth to you and a few weeks later your father also left the world due to his unhealthy habits of using alcohol, drugs and abuse.

You know I never got peace in life just because of your father?

And all I wanted was revenge." Here, her voice broke.

"But unfortunately your beloved father passed away so I thought why should not the son pay for his father's doings?

After all I'm not that ethical type of soul that you thought of.

Oh! And also know that I'm only visible to you.

Not to the other foolish human beings.

The prime reason I am here was because I wanted revenge but I can't do that anymore because I, too started loving you."

Here she couldn't hold herself back anymore and broke down to tears.

"Now that you have saw me and know the truth, I can do nothing but disappear forever." She said while sobbing.

With that, her figure started fading into thin air and she completely disappeared from the face of earth.

"No! Don't leave me." The boy shouted frantically.

By now he had also started to shed tears hysterically but there was no one in the dark stillness of the night at the backyard of the church to notice his frail body crouched against the ground.

This experience was remembered by him as a life changing event and now he is spending his life more honestly.

Any situation can be transformed into a favorable situation by love, affection and friendship. The spirit of the girl could at last understand that revenge is not the only solution for the satisfaction of a soul.
