Every thought you previously had crashes in a sudden moment of genuine surprise. Now that is unexpected.

"What? Move in?" you repeat his words as if that'll make them make anymore sense. "You want me to move in with you? Permanently?"

"Well, not permanently. Just until I need to give my titan up," Reiner rubs the back of his head awkwardly. "I've been... considering it. For a long time. But, it's a big step and I didn't think you'd ever want to take it," he says. "If you're there beside me every hour of the day, sleeping in my bed and eating my food, you won't want to talk to me at work. We keep our jobs the same and have sex in between. Eight hours for work, eight for sleep and eight we have just for us, alone. It's better than no intimacy at all, at least."

"Woah- okay. Slow down," you take in a choppy breath.

He crosses his arms over his chest, answering in dismissal, "you don't want to."

"No, it's just... moving in, it sounds so... marital. People who love each other do that, Reiner. We'd bicker and yell over everything, it would be misery."

"Misery?"

He presses his hand to the back of your neck and rubs the skin ever-so-slowly. Your hair sticks up all over from it.

"Keep in mind, I'd fuck the daylights out of you every time you'd piss me off. Every argument would end with you tied up and having orgasm after orgasm until you tell me to stop. Until you've had enough. It would be blissful."

"Pieck would notice I've left," you continue.

"Lie to her. Say you bought a new apartment. That's much better than her catching us downstairs."

"But if we were in the same place, we'd get exhausted of each other! Too much of a good thing is possible."

"I severely doubt that."

"Well then, what about when you want to bring a girl home? Do I hide in your bathroom until you're done? What about dating?"

"I don't date," he says, tone turning annoyed. "And I don't bring people to my place and sleep with them, at least not anymore. To be honest, you're a full time job. I would never want to be with another person when you're already my submissive. What would the point be?" He pulls you closer to him with that grip on your neck. "Stop making up scenarios. You already know how living with me would be. I'd sleep in, make us breakfast, take us to work, argue non-stop, cook dinner and eat you for dessert. Repeat for 365 days. That's what would happen. If it sounds tolerable then tell me yes. You said you'd do anything for this to continue, right?"

"I did, I did," you shut your eyes, exhaling. "It's just such a big step, okay?"

"You don't have to give me your answer right away, just, consider it. Bring whatever belongings you want, I'll neaten the place up, make you feel welcome. You won't have to cook and clean like my slave, I've got all of that covered." He gives you a genuinely caring expression. "I think I'd like to wake up and see someone first thing in the morning, I don't want to spend my last year in a quiet apartment. No pressure though, don't be scared to turn me down, I just-"

"I'll do it."

His eyes widen. "Wait, really?"

"Yes," you nod in confidence. "Fuck it. Let's move in together."

Standing at Reiner's doorstep, you let your thoughts descend into chaos and wreck. Several times, the question of 'what the hell am I doing with my life?' comes, beating against you wildly through a sense of pure decay. Never before would you have even considered living with Reiner damn Braun, yet now... you're almost excited to do it. That questioning of sanity, and the vile, disturbing nature of your actions, leaves your mind an utter mess while eagerly waiting on his entrance.
